These pork chops are so flavorful and tender. The gravy is great on mashed potatoes (I’ll share that recipe tomorrow). This is a crockpot recipe, but there’s a bit more work involved in prepping the meat for slow cooking. Normally, I don’t like recipes that call for browning the meat before cooking, but in this case the result is worth it. You want to get that golden crispness on the chops. The little bits of crispies that get left in the pan are cooked into the gravy, making it especially yummy. [Read more…] about Chicken-Fried Chops in the Slow Cooker

Angel Chicken
I’ve seen this recipe floating around the internet for a while now. A friend even gave me a copy written in handwriting on a recipe card a few months ago. I’d put off trying it though, because it calls for Cambell’s Golden Mushroom Soup, which I can’t seem to find. Finally, I decided that I could substitute. I’m glad I did. This is yummy, creamy and satisfying. And for a bonus, it’s a crockpot recipe. [Read more…] about Angel Chicken
Honey Hoisin Chicken in the Slow Cooker
This dinner was waiting for us when we came in from a marathon dentist appointment today. It was so nice to throw some rice on to cook, steam some broccoli and sit down to dinner. We ate every bite of it too.
The prep is simple, with just a few ingredients. In case you’re wondering what the dixie cup in the picture holds, it’s white wine. I froze wine in dixie cups instead of using ziplock bags this time. It works great.
Chicken Tacos

As a bonus, you can throw the chicken in the slow cooker still frozen. That’s perfect for those days you only have 5 minutes to get dinner started. [Read more…] about Chicken Tacos
Zesty Crockpot Chicken with Couscous
Renee from one of my favorite forums posted this chicken recipe the other day and I knew I would have to try it. I love a good slow cooker recipe and we eat so much chicken we could cluck (and that’s not a complaint, it’s just the way it is).
The recipe is simple (another one of my favorite things) and it didn’t disappoint. I served it with couscous that I cooked with the broth and onions from the chicken. Yum! [Read more…] about Zesty Crockpot Chicken with Couscous
