Comfort food. There is nothing quite as wonderful as comfort food. Especially when it’s so easy!
I love this recipe because it takes one of my favorite comfort foods and gives it a healthy twist. It’s simple to make, and the slow cooker makes it even easier. Plus, I love the addition of the garden fresh snap peas. I think peas and cheese and pasta make a great combo. And I really believe in eating locally grown, in season produce whenever possible. That makes this a rather winning dish in my mind!
Of course, there are lots of things you can serve with mac and cheese that you may even have right in your garden! Some of my other favorites to serve with Mac and cheese are broccoli, kale, and green beans, but be creative and find what you love! Serve your mac and cheese with sliced cucumbers and tomatoes and you have a great meal that your family will love.
