Weekend Giveaway! – Home Management Binder

I’ve discovered that if I write something down, I’m more likely to remember it.

Not only that.  The things I write down are more likely to happen.

Just by committing goals, ambitions, to-do lists or anything else to paper, they take on importance.  Paper and ink give them momentum.  And suddenly, something that seemed so far away starts appearing.

Take the goal of paying off debt, for instance.  In your mind, it feels like a fuzzy, but nice idea.  On paper, it’s tangible.  It’s a plan.  And if you keep track of it (more writing on paper) Debt Free happens.  It’s no longer just a nice idea.  It’s your reality.

That’s why I’m really excited about today’s giveaway!

Phoebe from Getting Freedom has written The Home Management Binder.  In it you’ll find printables (places to commit your goals) on all kinds of topics:

  • Master Menu Plan List
  • Master Grocery List
  • Monthly Cash Flow Plan
  • Debt Snowball Sheet
  • Bill Payment Schedule
  • Various Cleaning Schedules

The Home Management Binder is a fantastic tool!  Today I’m giving away one copy!

I’ve also got a discount code for you to use.  You can get the Home Management Binder for just $5 by using the code EATATHOME. The discount is only good through Feb. 11.  And if you win the giveaway, but already purchased the Binder, Phoebe will refund your money.  Win-win!

To enter, leave a comment here telling me which part of the binder would be most useful to you. Giveaway closes Monday morning at 9am and the winner will be announced on the Eat at Home Facebook page.

Holiday Cookie Swap & Cookie Cookbook Giveaway

I’m so excited to host this cookie swap with Liz from Hoosier Homemade and Melissa from Stockpiling Moms.

We love cookies at our house, but I have to admit that at Christmas I focus more on making candy rather than cookies.  This year, I want to change that up.  I can’t wait to see what kind of recipes you have for me to try.

Here are a few of our favorites:

CocoNot Cookies – Not a speck of coconut, but you’d never know it. Fun secret ingredient.

Aunt Gerry’s Pineapple Drop Cookies – A family favorite

Oatmeal White Chocolate Chip and Cranberry Cookies – Very Christmasy!

Amish Oatmeal Cookies – Brown sugary yum and rolled in powdered sugar.  [Read more...]

Mighty Leaf Iced Tea Giveaway!

Giveaway now closed!

I’m officially spoiled now.  It happened with my first sip of Ginger Peach iced tea.

I love tea (sweet, of course), so when Mighty Leaf contacted me and asked if I’d like to try their tea and do a giveaway I quickly agreed.  I had no idea tea could be so delicious.

They sent 4 flavors (3 you see above, plus Organic Black).  Oh my goodness!   Even the process of making it is fine.  The tea leaves are tucked into silky pouches.  Drop them into boiling water and let them steep for several minutes.  Sweeten if you like and pour over ice.  Find the nearest porch and sit a while.

You can buy Mighty Leaf in some Kroger, Meijer, and Whole Foods stores as well as other places.  Check their store locator to find Mighty Leaf near you.  Trust me – you do want to try some of this!

Mighty Leaf is giving one of my readers a Summer Brewing Kit.   [Read more...]

Freschetta Pizza Giveaway!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of FRESCHETTA®. All opinions are 100% mine.

Frozen pizza is such an American staple that my freezer even has a special place just to fit one.

I have to admit though, that I haven’t bought a frozen pizza in forever.  Not that we don’t eat pizza at home, and it isn’t always homemade either.  I’ve been buying deli pizzas for a while.  This is mostly because when we moved 3 years ago, the store I started shopping in is set up in a way that I end up skipping the frozen pizza aisle.  For three years, I haven’t bought a pizza, just because I skip that aisle.  Not sure what that says about me.

Graeter’s Ice Cream Giveaway!

To quote my 12 year old son,

Now I know what God eats for dessert!

Oh my goodness.  I {heart} ice cream.  A lot.  And even though I’ve eaten all kinds of premium brands (I’m kind of an ice cream snob), I’ve never had any other ice cream that even compares to Graeter’s.

It’s rich and creamy.  Like, after you eat it, your lips feel slightly buttery.  That kind of creamy.

The flavors are pure and fresh and pronounced.  Vanilla tastes like real vanilla.

The strawberry has small pieces of fresh berries that taste as if they were picked in a plot near the field where the dairy cows graze.  They must run with a bucket of strawberries and pail of milk straight to the ice cream makers and start churning.

And the chocolate chunks…. love! They are so smooth, they just melt in your mouth.  Divine. [Read more...]
