hershey's spreads kit 1

Giveaway is now closed.

Remember when I told you about these new, chocolatey spreads from Hershey’s?

And remember these cookies I made with Hershey’s spreads:

Thumbprint cookies with Hershey's Spreads

And I told you there would be a giveaway?

Well, today is the day for the giveaway!  You are going to love this!

Hershey’s Spreads are the perfect, creamy chocolate to pair with all kinds of things.  Hershey’s sent a box of delicious pairings for me to try and I get to give one away to you too.

Hershey's Spreads 1

We sampled all three varieties with cookies, dried fruit, granola bars and pretzel crisps.  My favorite pairing was Chocolate Hazelnut with the pretzel crisps.

And, I’m not going to lie, we ate a fair amount of all of the spread paired up with regular pretzels too (as opposed to the thin pretzel crisps).  I love that sweet/salty taste.  Especially when the combo includes chocolate!

Hershey's Spreads with Fruit

We also paired the Spreads up with fresh fruit.  Banana and Chocolate Almond was a natural combination.  It was also my favorite.  And as I’m typing this, I have to wonder why I didn’t think to pair the Chocolate Spread with an orange.  That would be marvelous!

Giveaway!

Hershey’s is going to send one lucky reader a Hershey’s Spreads package with three varieties of spreads, plus an assortment of recommended pairings.

To enter, leave a comment telling me what food you’d like to try pairing Hershey’s Spreads with.  Giveaway open through Monday, January 20.

Disclosure: I received a Hershey’s Spreads kit and have been compensated for my time.  All opinions are my own.

    1. I would love to try this with pineapple I think it would be a great combination!! I also think that it would be good on a fresh bagel (right from the bakery and still hot) ………..

  1. I’d like to pair fresh fruit with Hershey’s spread and also try them in smoothies!! YUM!!

  2. Ohhh my. I would make cookies with these, if there was anything left after dipping fruit an pretzels in them and just eating it with a spoon. 😉

  3. I think I would spread any of the flavors on rolled out puff pastry and make palmiers with them.

  4. Oh yum- one of my favorite snacks is an apple with peanut butter, so you can bet that would be one of the first things I’d try! Then pretzels, graham crackers, an orange (thanks to your idea!), a spoon…

  5. I’d like to warm it up and drizzle it over carmel popcorn! We made some “moose munch” for Christmas gifts and this would have made it much easier.

  6. I would love to pair these chocolate spreads with sugar cookies! Bake the sugar cookies, spread this chocolate wonderfulness on them and add pareils! Oh golly, what a wonderful idea for Valentines day with heart shaped sugar cookies!

    Thank you!

  7. I have been trying to find these since you first posted them, but am having difficulties! I can think of so many different combinations I would try, but I think animal cookies would be my first combo!

  8. I would make thumbprint peanu tbutter cookies and put the hershey’s spread in the thumbprint! yum!

  9. Oh boy…there are so many choices! Pretzels, Nutter Butter cookies……strawberries….a giant spoon!!!

  10. I would use these as a dip for a fruit tray or for frozen banana slices. I would coat the banana in spread then roll in graham cracker crumbs , Oreo crumbs or toasted coconut.

  11. My favorite thing to eat with the spreads would probably be apples, but I would mostly eat it with a spoon and spread it on my tongue! Probably good on bagels or toast, too, though.

  12. The first thing I would dip into this new chocolate wonder is a spoon! Then I would try using it with different fruits and cookies! 🙂

  13. How about spreading it on a banana, sprinkle on some coconut or granola, freezing it and then eating it like a banana pop!

  14. I would enjoy spreading a layer on my cakes before frosting. On sliced banana bread. Glaze a warm Bundt Cake.

  15. Ohhh sliced apples or pineapples in the regular Hersheys Chocolate Flavor would be heaven for me 🙂 Hugs, rose

  16. Can’t I just eat it with a spoon? Though I would love to eat any of it with strawberries

  17. I love to put it on fresh baked bread. The warm bread melts the spread and it is soooo good!

  18. Bananas sound good. So do apples, peanut butter and chocolate on toast, pretzels, cookies…anything and everything sounds good. I hope I win.

  19. I would love to pair them with fruit like strawberries, bananas and apples or crackers like vanilla wafers or graham crackers. Marshmallows and peanut butter would also be good with it. Thanks for the chance to enter.

  20. Graham crackers, breadsticks, grapes and definitely strawberries. Oh and off the spoon, too!

  21. I am so excited for this contest! I have just recently seen these amazing” jars of joy” on other blogs, but I CAN’T FIND THEM ANYWHERE AROUND HERE! I have been imagining them with Nilla Wafers, pretzels, fruit, graham crackers…….the list goes on and on!! #Ireallywantsomehershey’snow

  22. I’d use the Spreads on French Toast, fresh made beer bread, on bagels, brownies, in tortillas filled with fresh fruit…the possibilities are endless!

  23. Mmm … I would love to try these! I’d first try fruit like strawberries and pineapples and apples dipped in them and then cookies!! Someone else mentioned nutter butters and that sounds like it would be good with it! So many ways you could use these! <3

  24. Clementines but not oranges. I’ve been obsessed with the idea of clementines and chocolate of late. Ooh, is add some sea salt on top too!

  25. I love to spread chocolate on most fruits but would be good on toast and especially waffles in the morning, then topped with banana.

  26. I would toast an English muffin and spread the chocolate w/hazelnut on the muffin and add sliced bananas! Or just dip strawberries in the chocolate! Yummy, can’t wait to try this!

  27. I think I’d just get a spoon and dig in! If I had to put it on something, probably whole grain toast. 🙂

  28. I think it would be a tasty treat with apples or graham crackers or pretzels … but of course I’d have to share this deliciousness with my sweet husband and I think we’d enjoy this during an at home movie night!

  29. Although I would have to try them on banana pancakes or waffles, I’d also like to see if my Girl Scouts would prefer these to peanut butter for Ants on a Log (aka celery topped with raisins or craisins). After all, putting chocolate on anything is usually an awesome improvement! I’d also like to swirl some into a cheesecake…

  30. I make a yummy cinnamon swirl bread that would be so good with this! I’m sure my kiddos would also like it on their pancakes or toast.

  31. These would be great to put on a freshly baked brownie or a biscotti….or, on top of french toast!!!

  32. Oh my all the different flavors look so inviting but I think I would love the chocolate almond on some Vanilla Wafers.

  33. Hmm so many possibilities, apples and spread, on bananas, on toast in the morning, I am sure these spreads are good on almost everything! Thank you for the opportunity of the giveaway.

  34. For me it would be pretzels. I love the combnation of salt and sweet. Can’t wait to try it on toast also.

  35. I think some good fresh pound cake, but first I would have to try each one with the very best dipper in creation – a finger!

  36. These sound so delicious! I think they would be good on about anything you could think of. But, first I would put it on a banana, apple and on some graham crackers!! And, it would make a smoothie even more luscious!!

  37. My fingers…ok..maybe not, but most likely anything I can get my hands on…..Flipsides crackers (pretzel & ritz cracker combo). That would be yummy!

  38. My mind is reeling at the thought of the chocolatey goodness! I would start with homemade tea cakes, straight out of the oven. There would definitely be some strawberries & bananas to follow. You might find me with Graham Crackers as well. I would finish it off by licking the spoon!
(All this will happen AFTER I finish my 30 days on Whole30.)

  39. I’m a chocoholic and would live to pair these with strawberries, pineapple, apple, pretzels, those thin wafer rollup cookies and pretty much with anything!!! My mouth is salivating and can’t wait to taste these!

  40. I would love to use Hershey Almond spread along with whipped cream cheese spread on mutiple sheets of puff pastry, rolled and baked the have cool whip topping each serving, maybe bananas toppin it off. Yum!!

  41. I would love to try with bananas and pineapple. The kids would like to try it on a sandwich with peanut butter. Yum!

  42. I would love to pair them with fresh strawberries, graham crackers, nilla wafers, and pretzels!

  43. My first choice is try each one from the tip of my finger! Then… I would love to smear a bit on each bite of banana, then an apple and warm toast. Oh yum!

  44. I love chocolate hazelnut spread on thick, crusty artisan bread. That would probably be my go-to snack if I won these!

  45. I think a combo of apples, pecans and chocolate would bring everyone to the table. They would clean their plates so they would be allowed to have dessert!

  46. I grew up eating nutella in the 60’s and 70’s and then my daughter got to grow up with it. Now my granddaughter is growing up with it here in the states. I can’t wait to try the hersheys brand. I bet it is awesome! We love popcorn at my house so I guess we would figure out someway to have chocolate covered popcorn. Ha!

  47. i think any of these spreads would be fun to try in no-bake cookies in place of the cocoa or peanut butter!!

  48. The spreads look ah-mazing! I would love the chocolate almond in apples! I also think it would be fun to make with smores. It may be neat to try eclairs with as well.

  49. So many things come to mind..i would bake some zucchini bread or hazelnut bread and melt it ….drizzel it …all over the top … drizzel it all over.. strawberries…bannanas.. scones ..make fruit kabobs with the spead over the fruit..homemade peanut butter cups using the spread.. put it in my warm oatmeal for my babies.. the list goes on and on and on bake oatmeal cookies and peant butter cookies using it.. need i say more? 🙂 or just simply put it on my toast.. yummmm!!!

  50. I would use the spreads for my children’s after school snack: fruit, graham crackers, etc. then when they are asleep- I would sneak in and either eat it out of the jar or spread it on some cake.

  53. I would spread it on a crepe, top with strawberries, bananas and blueberries, roll it up and enjoy!

  54. I would try apples, strawberries, pineapple – any fruit good with chocolate. Sounds yummy just thinking about it….

  55. I think it would be great sandwiched in between two chocolate chip cookies. You could even use it in place of jelly on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Chocolate and peanut butter are a natural pairing. In fact I think they are happier together than they are apart.

  56. I would love to pair this with a variety of fruits – Strawberries, Pineapple, Mango, Raspberries and More! Perhaps a little bit of Angel Food Cake Pieces too.

  57. I would make chocolate cover chips with them….i would make a chocolate pie and cakes with them, then use it in my cake icings .i think good old fashion fluff sandwhich would be good and milk shakes.. my list can go on and on to what to use the hersey chocolate spreads bake or cook or just to eat with .yummy ..

  58. Trader Joe’s kitty cat cookies! They would be marvelous dipped in any of the three. Yumm-o!

  59. I would make a trifle, either large or individual ones. Put the chocolate spread on angel food cake or pound cake and make layers with strawberries, bananas, raspberries and during peach season, peaches. Make coconut balls and put chocolate spread. Add to pancake batter & top with spread & strawberries, whipped cream & coco powder. Crepes of all types for dessert. I have crepe maker. Put chocolate spread in crepes and fruit of your choice. Put on graham crackers. Stir into hot coffee or ice coffee in summer.. Put on cherries. Would be great to put chocolate spread on seville oranges. 69. Pretzels, bananas, apples, graham crackers, cookies, on ice cream…the possibilities are endless!!! 🙂

  70. I am not much of a breakfast person, but do love my coffee and a piece of toast. I would put a nice dallop of Hershey’s Spread in my coffee, and slather some on my toast. I would put it on just about anything once! Ice cream sounds yummy with Hershey’s Spread.

  74. I want to try them on apple slices! And crackers, and pretzels, and sliced pears….they look wonderful!

  75. Great product. I’m thinking pound cake, apples, celery. It could be spread on cheesecake or the inner layer of a regular cake.

  76. I’m adding more idea to my original comments on 1/16 approx. 4:30

I used to eat banana sandwiches as a child, SO–a banana sandwich with Hershey spread on both slices of bread, slice bananas and put on bottom bread slice and top with other bread slice. I love grilled pineapple, so I would make a sauce with the spread and put on top of grilled pineapple. I love french toast but instead of one slice of bread, I would use two and put Hershey spread between two slices (use bread of choice brioche would be good). How about a dessert pizza; I had one years ago. You use a sweeter crust, top with Hershey spread and top with lots of fruit of your choice.

  77. Definitely this would go with bananas and strawberries and maybe warm pound cake

  78. I’d like to try these chocolate spreads on celery or with marshmallow fluff on a sandwich or use chocolate in place of pb in a pb and j Mmm 🙂

  79. I’m inclined to reply with fruit, all the usual stuff. But……honesty……in our house, it’s a finger, scoop it right up and eat it (after bedtime, in your Jammie’s, while no one is looking of course).

  80. I would try it with pretty much anything. So much to choose from! LOL… Definitely fruit or some french fries. :-9

  81. I would love to pair it with apples!!
I’m not very creative that’s why I read your blog so I can get some great advice 🙂
