Slow Cooker Pork Carnitas is one of those recipes that tastes like so much more than the sum of it’s parts. It starts with boneless pork chops, taco sauce and a few seasonings. So simple, but the result is amazing.
The meat can handle a lengthy cooking time too, so it’s perfect for long, busy days.
We loved these in soft corn tortillas, but you could use flour or crispy tortillas instead. The other thing I find convenient about this recipes, is that it can be easily served at different times. Meaning if you have people eating in shifts instead of all at once, this is a great recipe to serve. Prep the taco toppings, add some chips and salsa, maybe guacamole and a green salad. All of that will hold nicely as the eating crew moves in and out of the kitchen over a span of a few hours.
