Am I the only one who thinks of Peter Brady when I say the title of the recipe today?
This recipe doesn’t have apple sauce, but it does have that great combo of pork and apples. It all gets made on a sheet pan, so it’s super simple.
Here’s what you’ll need for this recipe:
Any type of apple will work for this. A tart apple might be best, if you have that option, but any apples you have on hand are fine.
I love using these thin, boneless pork chops. They cook so fast! Serve roasted green beans, brussels sprouts or other green vegetable with this meal.

I made these in a smaller quantity and seasoned with a Texas BBQ seasoning that I have. The only problem I ran across was that the apples were not done when the pork chops were, even though I cut the thinner than the recipe picture shows. I had to pull the chops out and keep warm while the apples finished cooking. I also sprayed some olive oil on the apples half way through because they seemed really dry. It was fast and easy, not amazing but it was something different than the usual.

I didn’t have any nutmeg due to it getting lost during a recent move. So I substituted ground ginger just to try it out and get the health benefits of it it turned out wonderful. I used the same amount of ground ginger as it called for nutmeg . I know it put a different spin on the flavor than what the original recipe would have tasted like but we enjoyed it a lot. After I replace the missing nutmeg into the pantry I will try this recipe with nutmeg instead of ground ginger.

I made this exactly as stated. I used thin pork chops from Whole Foods, but they were not terribly thin. My apple slices were thinner than the picture because I used an apple slicer. I set the timer for 25 minutes and removed the pan at 20 minutes. The pork chops were severely overcooked and extremely tough. The apples tasted good and were cooked correctly. The idea of this recipe is good, but I would not make this with thin cut pork chops again.

The fruit was nicely seasoned, not overly sweet. Pork chops were6 thin, boneless chops totalling 1.3 lbs. I should have known that I should’ve got them for a shorter time because the recipe called for 1.5 to 2 pounds of pork chops which means they weren’t as thin cut as mine were so the pork was overcooked. I think it would benefit from a quick browning of the chops first and if I use slightly thicker pork chops it probably would’ve been OK. I wouldn’t make it the way I made it this time again

Hi I have evento make the recipe. Should the pork chops be cover or uncovered when putting them in the oven?
