I found this recipe on a homeschool forum. Magistra said she put this in foil packets on the grill for about 20 minutes. That was my intention too, but it was starting to rain the night I made them, so I popped them in the oven instead. The meat was flavorful and very moist. This is a great way to dress up pork chops.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- boneless pork chops
- onion slices
- green pepper, rings
- pineapple rings
- salt and pepper
Place the pork chops in a casserole dish. Layer the onion, green pepper and pineapple on top of each pork chop. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
If you want to grill them outside, place them in individual foil packets and grill for about 20 minutes or so.
Looks like you have boneless chops there. Those are hard to keep moist! I may have to try this. I never would have thought of that combination.
I start with pounding add 2 pats of butter, onion ,green bell pepper and pineapple ring, and top with a little teriyaki sauce. Also a little garlic, salt and pepper.. I wrap each one on foil. I looked this up to see how long to bake. I did not write this down years ago. Agree an hour it too long. Guess will guess.. This is yummy.
I agree with the previous comment – those are hard to keep moist, but this sounds great and super easy! Thanks for sharing!!

Tiffany,
I made this for dinner tonight and it was really good. It had great flavor. And my pork chops were not dry. Thanks for the new recipe.
We have plain ole baked pork chops on the menu this week. The ones I bought are not boneless, but I think I’ll try adding your toppings. Yum!
The porkchops shown in pic would absolutely not take 1 hour to cook, even with the moist pepper and pineapple on top !
covered or not covered??
Covered during most of the cooking. If you want it to brown a bit, uncover it for the last 10-15 minutes.
I will try with can of pineapple pieces and the fluid, covered, maybe a little soy sauce. will let you know
We do this same thing in foil packets on the grill only with one addition, about a tbs of teriyaki sauce on each one, along with the great ingredients you have already listed.
