No fire? No stick? No problem. This is #3 in the Peanut Butter Sandwich 365 challenge. Cinnamon graham crackers, creamy peanut butter, Nutella and Marshmallow Cream. It would probably be even better if you could start a fire, grab a stick and roast a real marshmallow, but this quick version was delish.
I also have a poll for you today. I’m wondering if you are a “stick to the recipe” type of cook or if you see recipes more as guidelines for cooking.

Feel free to leave a comment telling me more about your cooking style. Or about the last time you ate smores. Or what you’re doing this weekend. Talk to me, so I don’t have to talk to myself. Okay, I’ll probably still talk to myself, but I’d still like to hear from you.

Those look yummy! I love Nutella!

I’m LOVING your PB recipes! I am not that great of a cook, so I tend to follow recipes pretty closely. And the last time I ate a s’more was when we went camping about a month ago. YUMMY!

My kids will love the Cheater S’Mores–good idea!

Mmmm…makes me crave smores! I’m not a big cook but when I do I stick to the recipe. At least the first time, then I make a few tiny changes to make it taste the way I want it too! Happy weekend!

What is Nutella? I usually follow a recipe the first time I make something. Next time I might change it up a little bit. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a smores.

Nutella is a chocolate hazelnut spread. It’s very smooth, creamy and chocolatey. Have you ever eaten Ferrero Rocher candy, the round kind that comes in gold foil wrapped balls? Nutella is kind of like that creamy chocolate in those. I hear that in Europe they eat Nutella on bread for breakfast and even sell it in liter-sized containers! Yum! I found Nutella at Walmart near the peanut butter section. Don’t delay, go get some because it is delish!

My kids would LOVE this! Awesome idea.
Popping in from SITS to wish you a Super Sunday.

I stick to the recipe pretty close the first time I make it… but may adjust seasonings a tad. Next time I change it up depending on what the verdict is on the meal from the family. I am finding that when it comes to breads and other baked goods you have to be willing to experiment to get it right.

I’m so excited — something new to try! Yum! When time or weather don’t permit a fire in the firepit, we make s’mores in the microwave. It only takes a few seconds to melt the chocolate and marshmallow. I have never tried Nutella, though. And we use plain graham crackers. I’m adding cinnamon graham crackers and Nutella to the grocery list now.
As for my cooking style, recipes are most often guidelines for me. I love the challenge of making something new. I am constantly trying to find ways to incorporate more vegetables into recipes. Of course, sometimes we have to eat peanut butter sandwiches or order Hot and Ready pizza for dinner because an experiment has gone bad, but no one has complained yet. 🙂

I stick to recipes the first time I make them, then if I really like it, I may tweak it a little the next time I make it.
Jai says
Sometimes I stick, sometimes I don’t, depends on what we are eating and if the kids are eating it. 🙂

I make cheater smores also….I take 4 marshmallows, the first one I dab on the top of a stick of room temperature butter. Then use the marshmallow to spread the butter in a circle just larger than the marshmallow, I place a second marshmallow on the butter circle and repeat. Placing each marshmallow on a buttery circle, then microwave for about 30 seconds. I wait till they puff to at least twice their original size. They will be very hot when you take them out of the microwave! So take 1 graham cracker half and your square of chocolate and placing one on each side, lift the marshmallow onto the remaining graham cracker half. Repeat for the remaining marshmallows. MMM hot and gooey!
