It’s almost the Fourth of July. That means BBQs and family meals…whole food style!
I like this rib recipe because it’s pretty simple. There’s just a couple of ingredients and you put it all in the slow cooker to let it do its thing. The result is ribs that are fall apart, melt in your mouth good! Using the slow cooker is a great option for busy days or if you just don’t have a grill handy. I always think the delicious smells wafting through the house during the day are a great bonus, too! By the time we’re ready for dinner, everyone is hungry and ready to dig in.
The only thing you should do to make sure this recipe is completely whole foods friendly is be sure to pick out a BBQ sauce that is as natural as possible. Or you could even make your own paleo friendly BBQ sauce if you’d like.

I like the idea of serving this with honey glazed carrots and grilled zucchini. You could do skillet cornbread and of course, a baked potato is always a great choice. Did you know you can do baked potatoes in your slow cooker too?
