Is it a fast food kind of night?
I think everyone knows that it’s cheaper to eat at home than it is to hit the drive through for dinner. But sometimes life is crazy busy and cooking seems really hard. And let’s be honest, sometimes eating out just tastes good. I love that with a slow cooker and a little planning you can get a cooking break, eat really well, and save a lot of money at the same time.
This recipe for Apricot Chicken is a great example. It’s only got a few ingredients, you can use inexpensive cuts of meat, and you let it cook for 8 hours. So you could be gone the entire day and still come home to a fresh, homemade dinner…one you know exactly what it’s made with! I think that’s such a good feeling.
