My family loved this!  We love all things pasta.  Our weekly menu always includes at least one pasta dish.

So when Philadelphia Cooking Creme asked me to swap out one of our regular dinners with one of their recipes, I jumped at the chance.    There are several recipes in their Fresh Family Favorite recipe collection.  I chose this Creamy Chicken Florentine. Creamy pasta meals make my family happy. And you know how I love easy recipes.  This one fits that category too.

I chose to use the Reduced Fat Savory Garlic flavor of Cooking Creme.  I was afraid it might be too garlicky tasting, but it was perfect.  The taste was subtle, with just the right amount of flavor.

I did make a few minor alterations to the recipe.  First, I doubled it.  The original recipe serves 4.  Not enough for my family of 6.  I also skipped the pine nuts.  You can substitute slivered almonds, if you don’t want to spring for pine nuts.  (I love pine nuts, but they are pricey.)

Here’s what you’ll need:

Cubed chicken; dinner and enough for lunch Thursday. Cooking for one means I use the Philadelphia Cream Cheese flavors a spoon or two at a time. Perfect.

  30. I’ve tried the Italian Cheese & Herb and it was great. I threw a bunch of stuff in my pantry and refrigerator in and had dinner and leftovers for lunch.

  31. I love this stuff (garlic & herb especially) and have probably tried all the flavors. It’s easy to use just a tablespoon or two to make a regular tomato pasta sauce creamy, too. I always have a couple of tubs in my fridge. Finding new ways to use it all the time (it also goes on sale pretty regularly!).

  32. I have tried the cremes….I’ve used Sante Fe to make enchiladas and since I have a savory garlic in the fridge already, I’ll be making this yummy dish. Thanks for the giveaway.

  33. I haven’t tried them yet, but I think the Italian or Santa Fe would be great in creamed spinach.

  34. No I have not tried this but am interested in the Savory Garlic. Sounds good and I can think of several recipes it would be a great addition to.

  38. I ‘liked’ Philadelphia Cream Cheese, did it a long time ago, lol, that’s how good it is!

  39. The cooking creams are great for a quick pasta meal. I’ve used the Santa Fe, and the garlic. Both are tasty. I’ve like Philadelphia Cream Cheese on Facebook for quite awhile. I’ll like them again but I don’t think it will do anything.

  40. I think I’d like to try their Savory Garlic -they look so delicious, but I’m afriad if I try it once I’ll get hooked so I havne’t bought any yet.

  42. MY FAVORITE IS THE SAVORY GARLIC. I USUALLY MAKE IT WITH PASTA, CHICKEN BREAST AND BROCCOLI. I ALSO USE THE ORIGINAL COOKING CREME BY MIXING IT IN MASHED POTATOES.
