I love soup.  A warm bowl of soup with a slice of good bread or a muffin or biscuit and I’m a happy person.  Here are more than 50 recipes to choose from.  From classic comfort foods to soups with an ethnic flare, this list has them all.

  5. I’ve loved every soup I’ve tried that you’ve put out but we keep going back to the chicken tortilla soup. I really think that’s our favorite.

  6. Here is a fast, easy recipe that tastes better each day. I prefer hot Italian sausage. I make this recipe 4 -5 times each winter. Soup is my favorite food.

    Italian Sausage Bean Soup
    3/4 lb Italian sausage links, casings removed
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    15-1/2 oz can butter beans with liquid
    15 oz can black beans, rinsed and drained
    14 1/2 oz diced tomatoes with liquid
    14 1/2 oz beef broth
    1 tsp dried basil
    2 Tbs shredded parmesan cheese

    1. In a large saucepan, cook sausage, onion and garlic until the sausage is
    browned; drain.
    2. Add beans, tomatoes, broth and basil. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
    3. Sprinkle each serving with Parmesan cheese.

  10. I thought I’d share an amazing soup recipe with you in case you like asparagus. I used a lower-fat plain cream cheese with some onion powder or dried onions and some chopped green onions. This soup is so good I made it again the very next day! Enjoy!

    (Philadelphia Cream Cheese’s) Creamed Asparagus Soup:
    4 Servings Prep/Total Time: 35 min


    * 3 Tbsp. butter
    * 1 leek, sliced
    * 1 large clove garlic, minced
    * 1 lb. fresh asparagus spears, each cut crosswise into thirds
    * 1 cup chicken broth
    * 1 cup water
    * 1 tsp. salt
    * 1/2 tsp. pepper
    * 1/2 cup (1/2 of 8-oz. tub) Philadelphia® Chive & Onion Cream Cheese Spread
    * 1/4 cup milk


    * Melt butter in medium saucepan on medium heat. Add leeks; cook 5 min. or until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in garlic; cook and stir 2 min. Add asparagus, broth and water; stir. Simmer on medium-low heat 5 min. or until asparagus is crisp-tender. Season with salt and pepper.
    * Meanwhile, mix cream cheese spread and milk until well blended.
    * Add asparagus mixture to blender, in batches; blend until smooth. Spoon into soup bowls.
    * Add cream cheese mixture; swirl gently with spoon. Yield: 4 servings.

    Special Extra: Garnish with additional asparagus tips just before serving.

    Note: Soup is equally delicious served hot or chilled.

  14. Avgolemono! Greek Chicken Lemon Rice Soup

    1 can chicken broth
    1 boneless chicken breast
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 box orzo pasta
    4 eggs
    2 lemons

    poach chicken in chicken broth – remove and cut up
    cook orzo pasta per box directions
    add both cans of creamed soup
    add wisked eggs while soup is at cool temperature or temper the eggs before adding
    add fresh lemons to taste
    never let the soup boil or it will turn into scrambled eggs
