Everyone wants to be able to save money on meals and grocery costs. Here are some of my best tips on the subject, all in one easy to find list.
Low Cost Meals – The cheapest meals on my website, as well as a few links.
How to Find Money in Your Freezer/Pantry:
Learn how to save more money on your groceries with Grocery University, a 2 hour 19 minute audio course. Carrie Isaac does a fabulous job of teaching people how to maximize their use of coupons to save the most money possible. Her course is designed to help both experienced coupon shoppers and those who have never clipped coupons before.
This is an affiliate link. If you choose to purchase Grocery University I will make a bit of money, which will immediately be sucked into the halls of higher education for my daughter. I have listened to this audio course and I recommend it, but only purchase if you decide it’s for you.

I love your menu with grocery list combonatin. It makes my life so easy. Like so many others, money has been scarce around my house. I am using your weekly budget menu with the vietnam rice and the depression era bread. My family loves it! I was wondering if you have any other money saving menus w/ shopping lists that you can post. My husband thinks it’s great that I can do our shopping for the week with under $100. He has no idea that you are the genius behind it all. Thanks for everything. Love your site!

Hi
I “love” your website. It’s just good food with an unpretentious format.
I have been trying to get my daughter to quit spending so much money eating out – so I forwarded your website to her… not sure if she appreciated it or not. lol!
I really get tired of eating out – homemade is so much better. But working 40 hrs a week and coming home to cook is not so much fun when you haven’t planned and your tired.Your website really helps with planning menus, etc.
I really feel you have a calling – keeping families together at the dinner table – teaching people to plan their meals and save some money also. Not much is more important than that warm fuzzy feeling with your family around a meal you lovingly prepared. Nothing compares to the sense of togetherness as when everyone is pitching in – especially the little ones. They love to eat what they help cook. So much cheaper & healthier.
So, as you can tell I really love your website, your recipes are so affordable and tasty.
PS – Do you have a book coming out? I thought I saw it on your blog, but now I can’t seem to find it. I’d love to get it for my girls and myself.
Thank you & God Bless you and your family…

Kay, what a nice comment you left for me. Thank you! I don’t have a book coming out. Maybe you are thinking of Erin from $5 Dinners or Stephanie from A Year of Slow Cooking. Both of them have blogs and recently released cookbooks. They are also excellent resources for cooking and eating at home.

WoW I love your blogs, the only thing is i would have to double most of the meals my husband loves to eat. and the kids would starve. do you really feed 4 kids your self and husband on this menu???? or is my husband just a piggy lol
Thank you for all the hard work I love the menu and shopping list combined I always have to make my own every 2 weeks yuck

Laura, I do feed 4 kids, my husband and myself with that amount of food. My two boys eat a fair amount. My oldest daughter is not a big eater. Youngest daughter is only 7, so a smaller amount for her. My husband often gets seconds, but he’s not a huge eater. I know some men really do eat a lot, so you may need to adjust and double recipes sometimes. Serving sizes can be hard to determine, since people eat different amounts.

I don’t think I’ve ever told you that I really admire the way you faithfully present the menus and recipes that accompany them. It’s just a wonderful service. That’s all. Just so you know…

Thanks, Cheryl!
