A Sour Cream Haiku
Awesome sour cream
Stirred into breads and muffins
Dollops on tacos
I know. That’s probably the best haiku you’ve read this morning.
Have I ever mentioned that my first blog was a poetry blog where I shared lots and lots of haiku? There may be a good reason why I don’t post on that blog anymore.
Despite my bad poetry, sour cream is awesome. And so is plain yogurt, which can be substituted when you want less fat in the finished dish.
Here are some of my favorite recipes that have sour cream or yogurt:
- Blueberry Sour Cream Muffins
- Blueberry Cream Jello Salad
- Loaded Cheesy Potato Casserole
- White Enchiladas
Now it’s your turn. Link up any recipe that uses sour cream or yogurt. Feel free to link as many as you like, just be sure to link back to Eat at Home. You can use the button below, if you like.

Thanks for hosting Tiffany! I love added sour cream to baked goods and always forget about it. Looking forward to seeing the other recipes.

Thank you so much for hosting the delicious party!
Thanks for hosting! Have a great day!!
I shared a link, but had to comment. My husband detests sour cream and my favorite dish {stroganoff} has it as a pretty important ingredient. After making it many times and him eating it but not enjoying it I switched the sour cream for yogurt and asked him how it was. He said it was good “but he could still taste the sour cream.” I had a good laugh.
I still do it to him too. Just this week I made potato salad that used sour cream as the base instead of mayo. He LOVED it… then I told him. Poor guy.
Haha! Never tell him and he’ll never know. My dad thinks he hates cream cheese. He eats it in all kinds of things and likes them, he just doesn’t know they have cream cheese.
What a lot of great looking recipes. Since sour cream is one of my favorite foods, I will be checking these out. Today I bring Sour Cream Swiss Steak one of my favorite recipes for using round steak. Although the recipes is for the oven, I’ll bet that it could easily be done in a slow cooker. Thanks for hosting. Have a wonderful week.
Tiffany,
