Easy Snackadium for Super Bowl (or other Football Game) Parties

There are two reasons that I would attend (or throw) a Super Bowl party (or any other football game party).

1.  Friends – It’s always fun to get together with friends.

2.  Food – Any excuse to share food with friends!

So when Pillsbury asked me to create a Snackadium using their Crescent Roll Dough and Pizza Dough, I was in!  You know I love canned dough products.

What’s a snackadium, you ask?  It’s a stadium made of snacks.  Usually they are constructed from salty snacks, dips, sandwiches etc.  There are lots of amazing examples on the web.  Some of them would feed 50-60 people.

Since most folks don’t have parties quite that big, I wanted to create a snackadium that would be easy to make and serve about 15 – 20 people, depending on how many sweet snacks you serve with it.

Here’s the diagram of what I ended up with:

I’m not known for the presentation of food, so I kept the assembly of this simple.  The base is a veggie pizza, made with Pillsbury Crescent Rolls.

I finely chopped broccoli for the top.  The lines are piped sour cream.

And this game is black olives vs cherry tomatoes.

I made the goal posts of cheddar cheese sticks, held together by toothpicks.  I broke the toothpicks in half and pushed them into the cheese to hold the pieces together.  I also used a toothpick at the bottom to hold the goal post onto the pizza.

Around the sides and end zones, I used calzones made with Pillsbury Refrigerated Pizza Dough.  That stuff is so easy to work with.  It made assembling the calzones a cinch.

There are two types of calzones there – Buffalo Chicken Mozzarella Calzones (inspired by these on Once a Month Mom) and Pepperoni Pizza Calzones.  (All the recipes are at the end of this post.)

Between the calzones and the veggie pizza, I piled the chips.  I used Bugles, tortilla chips and potato chips.  On three of the corners, I added dips.  I used spinach dip, French onion, and salsa.

I had fun making this and we definitely had fun eating it.  Because we were a little early for Super Bowl, we shared it with friends on New Years Eve.

I have partnered with Pillsbury through DailyBuzz to help promote their Crescent Roll and Pizza Crust products. I have been compensated for my time commitment to work with this product. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments. Thank you Pillsbury for this awesome opportunity to create a Snackadium!
