Ingredient Spotlight: Blueberries

Little orbs of denim blue

Juicy sweet inside

Disappear into my mouth

I was in a haiku mood.  It happens to me sometimes.

I love fresh blueberries.  Or dried blueberries.  Or chocolate covered blueberries.  I can’t wait to see the recipes you have to share with me this week.  Here are some that I have to share:

Now it’s your turn.   Link up any recipe on your blog that uses blueberries.  It doesn’t have to be a recent post, just be sure to link directly to your recipe, not just the main page of your blog.  I only ask that you include a link back to Eat at Home in your post.  You can link directly to this post or use the button in the sidebar.

  5. My daughter for some reason HATES blueberries… she has gone so far as to tell people she is ALLERGIC to them. Crazy girl. I’m going to convince her someday.

I don’t have any recipes to share, but I will check out these!

  6. Tiffany, thanks for hosting. I hope you are enjoying the beach. I bring a recipe for Jam Cake that even the non-blueberry lovers (like me) will enjoy. It can be made with any flavor of jam. Kristal, you might try this one on your daughter. Just don’t tell her what is in it.

  7. Love those blueberries and there is nothing easier to pick. Hope the beach is fun.

It’s not really a recipe, but for breakfast I like 1/2 Cup plain Greek yogurt with 1/2 Cup blueberries, 2 packets stevia and a healthy dash of cinnamon. If you’re not on a lo-carb diet, you can sweeten with honey or just use vanilla-flavored yogurt.
