Ingredient Spotlight: Ground Beef

Apologies for the photo of the raw ground beef.  It’s possible that the only thing worse is a photo of raw chicken legs.

What it lacks in beauty, it makes up for in versatility and convenience.  Growing up, we ate a lot of ground beef.  It was inexpensive and Mom could make all kinds of things with it.

Now, I think it’s a bit pricier.  (Isn’t everything?)  I still use it, but not every week.  Here are some of my favorite recipes using ground beef:

Now it’s your turn!  Link up any recipe on your blog that uses ground beef.  It doesn’t have to be a recent post, just be sure to link directly to your recipe, not just the main page of your blog.  I only ask that you include a link back to Eat at Home in your post.  You can link directly to this post or use the button below.

This is not my recipe or even my blog, but we have this dish at least once a month. In the comments at the end of the recipe, the original blogger states that you can use any meat, including ground beef (or even extra firm tofu). When we make it, we just mix the marinade right in the ground beef. We also use brown rice because white rice sends my blood sugar through the roof.

  6. Thanks so much for this post! We use ground beef weekly and the family is getting tired of the same dishes!

  7. Ground beef is a cooking staple at our house and has been for many a year. It is such a versatile product. I am very late linking up today, but I brought six of my favorite ground beef recipes. All of these appear on our table on a regular basis. I am looking forward to finding some new recipes in this link up that will join them. Thanks for hosting, Tiffany. Have a wonderful week.
