I like popcorn. But Jim loves popcorn. He makes it at least 3 times a week. And always on a Sunday night.
We’ve tried various kinds of poppers, from microwave to stove top. But the kind that works best for us is this Stir Crazy Popcorn Popper.
You just add vegetable oil and popcorn kernels and plug it in. A few minutes later, the popcorn is perfectly popped. Just remember to put the cover on. Jim forgot that step once and left the kitchen to do something. When he came back, there was popcorn all over the kitchen!
We also have a favorite kind of popcorn. White is best and the absolute best is Tiny Tender White. And the best place to get it is Yoder’s, which is also available on Amazon.
I only have one recipe for popcorn and that’s for Caramel Corn. But I can’t wait to see what you’ve got! Link up as many recipes as you like. Just be sure to include a link back to Eat at Home.

I bought some tiny hulles popcorn ( I think it was called Ladyfinger hulless) at an Amish store in northern Indiana a few weeks ago. It was the microwave and we really liked it. Of course we love popcorn esp while watching Antiques Roadshow and IU basketball.

That’s my mom’s favorite way to pop corn also… We use a WhirlyPop which is essentially a manual Stir Crazy. 🙂 This is because we’ve taken it all over the world and most other places use a different sort of electricity which would not accommodate the Stir Crazy. I once had a great way to make it in the microwave in a Pyrex lidded dish. I think you added a tablespoon of butter and 1/3 cup popcorn and then microwave for 3.5 minutes or so.
Wow! That must be some good popcorn! It’s very expensive and shipping is even worse! I hope you can buy it locally.

Jani, we don’t get that kind of popcorn often because of that. I’ve ordered a bunch for Valentine’s and birthday gifts for Jim before. 🙂

My favorite popcorn flavor is fruit medley and unicorn popcorn. I have tried making at home, but that didn’t given me the same taste as Thatchers Gourmet Popcorn have. I usually buy these popcorn by them only.
