Ingredient Spotlight has a new button! I decided it was time to give this party its own graphic. My oldest daughter created it for us. I think she did a great job!
I’m so excited about this week’s Ingredient. It’s pumpkin time!
How can you not love a vegetable that is so beautiful and signals the arrival of autumn? Pumpkin is extremely versatile. You can carve it, decoupage it, paint it, combine it with flowers (thanks, Pinterest for showing me those things).
You can bake it, mash it, roast the seeds. And most wonderful of all – Pumpkin is a veggie that often masquerades as dessert!
That’s my kind of food!
Here are some of my most-loved pumpkin recipes:
- Apples and Cranberries Baked in a Pumpkin
- Pumpkin Chip Cookies
- Pumpkin Sheet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting
- Spicy Pumpkin Pie
I can’t wait to see all of your fantastic pumpkin recipes!
Please feel free to link up as many of your pumpkin recipes as you like. I only ask that you link back to this site. You can use the new Ingredient Spotlight button, if you like.
Don’t forget to visit the other links too! I know you’ll find some new recipes to try.

Doug and I have been talking about the pumpkin with apples and cranberries for months! I bought a couple pie pumpkins to decorate with yesterday, but will head back this weekend and grab some more so we can make it again! A-MA-ZING!!
Thanks for hosting Tiffany!

I love this ingredient 🙂 All of the recipes I linked up list “sweet potato” as the ingredient b/c my husband is allergic to pumpkin. But, they all sub 1:1 for pumpkin. They are great alternatives to one another — so if you happen to have a hard time finding pumpkin, just used sweet potato 🙂

I can’t wait to click through and see these yums! I pureed my own pumpkin about three weeks ago, and have been loving how I’m using it in so many recipes! Tonight, I’m going to make Baked Pumpkin Oatmeal….

I downloaded this cookbook to my kindle last week when it was free (still only $2.69). My daughter made pumpkin chowder for dinner last night. Yum! Looking forward to trying several other recipes, too.

Wow! What a great list of pumpkin recipes. I tried to bring something a little different so I bring Pumpkin/Apple Butter today. There are links in that post to my two other pumpkin recipes. You might be interested in a little free e-book available from http://www.preparedpantry.com. Just click one-books in the left hand column and then look under desserts. Now I must go and check out all the wonderful recipes that are being shared. Thanks for hosting and have a great week.
