Before we get to the peanut butter links (and, oh my word! They are worth waiting for!), I want to share another ebook with you.
I’ve been reading Anne Bogel’s blog, Modern Mrs. Darcy since early this summer. She writes about books and reading and other interesting topics. Lately, she’s been writing about fitting work into life.
So, I was very excited when she contacted me about her new ebook, Work Shift. She even sent a review copy, which I promptly opened and began reading. The next day as I was still working my way through the book, I realized that I’d forgotten to email her back. I’d been too involved in reading.
Work Shift is about blending family life and work so that it makes sense for everyone. Anne discusses not only how the internet has opened up better work options, but other ways that people are changing their schedules and work spaces to fit the needs of the family.
I have a big interest in this topic. For the past 20 years, I’ve been a stay at home mom. But now, thanks to opportunities available online, I have work that fits with my family life. That’s something I could never have dreamed of when my daughter was born in 1992 BI (Before Internet).
And now that daughter is almost 21, working her way through college. The options that will be available to her for work and someday (a long, long time from now) family life are much different than what was available to me when I was her age.
If you’re in the midst of making work and family coexist in some kind of harmony, I highly recommend Anne’s book. She has stories from many people that will spark new ideas on making it all fit. You can buy Work Shift for $8 at this link.
Peanut Butter Links
Oh my goodness! All those peanut butter recipes had me craving the ooey gooey stuff bad. There’s still time to link up your recipe and I’d love to see what you’ve got.
For dinner Wednesday night, I decided to make Peanut Butter Pancakes from Picture Perfect Cooking. Wow! I’ve made some really good pancakes in the past, but these might be the best. Topped with blackberry jam and syrup. These will be a regular in our house.
Peanut Butter Cup Cupcakes from Hoosier Homemade look your-chocolate-fell-into-my-peanut-butter good!
Monster Cookies with pretzel M&Ms from Cookin’ Mimi look sweet and salty delish.
Peanut Butter Nutella Bars from The Better Baker – It’s peanut butter and Nutella! No need to say more.
I’m guessing that Peanut Butter Banana French Toast from Passionate Penny Pincher is every bit as wonderful as those pancake were.
Grandma Loy’s Kitchen added peanut brittle to her peanut butter cookies. My dad would love that.
