Last week’s Spotlight on Pumpkin was amazing! We ended up with almost 75 delicious pumpkin recipes linked up. I had a great time commenting, Stumbling and Pinning recipes. Yummo!
One of my goals with Ingredient Spotlight is to keep it general enough that you will have recipes using the ingredient. I want you to be able to show off your recipes and blogs! I also want to find new recipes for “old” ingredients. Cabbage is coming up next week and I know we won’t have as many recipes to share, but I’m looking forward to learning new ways to use that veggie.
This week our focus is on milk!
Milk is used in so many recipes. Here are 4 of my favorites:
- Black Angus Au Gratin Potatoes
- Chicken and Wild Rice Soup
- Baked Ham and Broccoli Rolls with Swiss Cheese Sauce
- Coconut Syrup for pancakes or waffles
Share your recipes! Link up any recipe that uses milk. Feel free to link as many as you like. Be sure to link back to Eat at Home in your blog post. You can use the button below, if you like. I’ve added the html for you.

Since this post is on milk I thought now might be a good time for my question-
I know evaporated milk comes in a can and is called for in many recipes. How is it different from regular milk?
Tiffany says
Ruth, it is a bit thicker than regular milk. You can substitute it for cream or half & half in many recipes to reduce the fat. It’s also handy because you can keep it in the pantry.

Looks like a great party, Tiffany. I brought Hot Milk Sponge Cake, Confetti Potato and Ham Soup, and Breakfast Bread Pudding Cups. I see a bunch of new recipes I am off to check out. Still don’t know why the linky stars my links on some blogs but not others. Oh well. Thanks for hosting. I look forward to this most every week.
