Cherries are my favorite fruit. I especially love sour cherries. That’s because they are marvelous baked into pies and cobblers. The cherries in the picture are from a bag of frozen cherries that I’ve been hoarding. Valentines’ Day might be the perfect time to make a cherry cobbler.
I don’t think I’ve ever tried a cherry dessert that I didn’t like. My favorite birthday treat is Cherry Squares. I’d much rather have those than a cake.
Here are a few other cherry recipes I like:
Now it’s your turn! Link up any recipe on your blog that uses cherries. It doesn’t have to be a recent post, just be sure to link directly to your recipe, not just the main page of your blog. Oh man… I was going to share a family favorite and I’ve never posted it. Guess I’ll have to make it for Chocolate Friday this week! I did have a few others on my blog though.. so I added those.
My Mom gets BUCKETS of sour cherries in the summer and freezes them. Then she makes Cherry Pie’s throughout the year {especially for George Washington’s birthday}. It is my son’s favorite. This year she also made Cherry Jam for us. Delicious!

Looks as though there a lot of great cherry recipes here today. I am sharing Red Velvet Cherry Bars which is a variation of the Chocolate Covered Cherry Cake that Squiggy Spice linked up. No the right time of year for it, but this summer don’t forget my Bing Cherry version of No-Machine Ice Cream. It was delicious.

I have just discovered your blog and I’m excited to look around. I must say, this is the post of my dreams! Cherries are my favorite as well – I will take cherry pie over almost any other dessert. And when I was pregnant, I used to put canned cherry pie filling on vanilla ice cream (with chocolate syrup). I ate that way more often than I should have. LOL! Thanks for sharing your recipes.
