I’m so excited to host this cookie swap with Liz from Hoosier Homemade and Melissa from Stockpiling Moms.

We love cookies at our house, but I have to admit that at Christmas I focus more on making candy rather than cookies.  This year, I want to change that up.  I can’t wait to see what kind of recipes you have for me to try.

Here are a few of our favorites:

CocoNot Cookies – Not a speck of coconut, but you’d never know it. Fun secret ingredient.

Aunt Gerry’s Pineapple Drop Cookies – A family favorite

Oatmeal White Chocolate Chip and Cranberry Cookies – Very Christmasy!

Amish Oatmeal Cookies – Brown sugary yum and rolled in powdered sugar.

  1. Choosing just one favorite is a big challenge! I would have to choose snickerdoodles. Even though my Mom baked them year-round, I only make them in December. The warm cinnamon scent just says Christmas to me!

  2. My all time favorite holiday cookie is the cuccidata. It is an Italian filled cookie that my grandmother used to make. Filled with all sorts of yummy goodness including chocolate chips and dried fruits.

  3. Usually I’m at a loss when someone asks me for a “favorite” of something ~ but I knew right away with this one. Snickerdoodles! Especially on a cold day with a rich cup of warm cocoa. Yum!

  4. Such a hard pic, but I will have to say they are Andes Mint cookies, just a basic excellent sugar cookie with a minty surprise, love them..

ps: the linky isn’t working or at least I can’t see it.

  5. We love gooey butter cookies – a yellow butter recipe cake mix with cream cheese and butter rolled in powdered sugar.

  6. Christmas is not complete without traditional sugar cut-outs…….but I LOVE the Oatmeal White Chocolate Chip Cranberries!!

  7. I absolutely love my great grandma’s date and oatmeal cookie. Just brought home the ingredients yesterday. Great Friday project with wonderful memories!

  8. Swedish press cookies, with a little swirl of color in the cookie and a bit of colored sugar. They are my son’s favorite and he now makes them with his children.

  9. My favorite Christmas cookie would have to be the cut out sugar cookie….decorated with love 🙂 But I am all about Christmas cookies and love many kinds! Last year I made a chocolate covered cherry cookie for our cookie exchange and they were a delish!!!!

Love your blog and all the fantastic recipes you share!!!!!!

  10. SO hard to pick just one! I make peanut blossoms with a reese cup instead of a kiss in the middle for my hubby. They are his favorite and also one of mine!

  11. I am sharing Coconut Krispies which is certainly one of my favorite cookies. Sorry, you get the little blue linky face. This was one of my first posts back in May, and I wasn’t taking photos yet. Do try they, they are yummy. By the way, I already have the cookbook (of course) so don’t enter me in the contest. Lots of cookie recipes on the blog besides this one. Have a great week.

  12. I love almost all cookies.(I don’t like any that have raisins or dried fruit in them)I have never had a chocolate chip cookie I didn’t like.

  13. My Favorite cookie is sugar cookies I like to make them for christmas , valentines and at easter time and decorate them they are so yummy….

  14. My favorite cookie is date pinwheel cookies. I never make them but my grandmother always does at Christmas. They are so yummy!

  15. My 11-year-old grandson just made an Iraqi Crystalized Ginger Cookie recipe which used sesame oil as one of the ingredients. I thought they were going to be horrible, and felt we were wasting the $13.00 we paid for the ginger. However, he was doing it for a social studies project and so I said go for it. Am I ever glad. These were delicious. They now are at the top of my Christmas Cookie list. Although, I have to say I love a nicely decorated sugar cookie too.

  16. Let’s see…do I have to pick just one? My favorite is peanut butter chocolate chip cookies which combines two of my favorite flavors.

  17. It’s tough to pick one, but I’d have to say it’s a butter pecan turtle bar cookies. They always SEND me cause they’re so rich and buttery. Thanks for hosting the cookie swap. I’d love to win that cookbook.

  18. My favorite holiday cookie would be anything shortbread! Like those shortbread/butter cookies with the sticky-hardened jelly-type stuff in it! YUM!!!

  19. My mom always made her wonderful Buttermilk Cookies each year when I was growing up. They were almost cakelike, but we could roll, cut, and decorate like sugar cookies. Amazing! I need to make those again…

  20. My favorite cookie at Christmas time has to be sugar cookies. I think it is more of the experience than the actual cookie. This is one of the few cookies we all make and decorate together as a family!
