It’s been a few months since I bought my Kindle and I love it just as much as I thought I would.
There are so many free books available. Even if you don’t own a Kindle, you can still download a free app to your computer or smart phone. I have the app on my computer and sometimes read on it, depending on the ebook.
Did you know you can get free cookbooks on Kindle? Here are a few I’ve downloaded recently.
Hungry Girl has a new teaser ebook with 3 mouth-watering, guilt free recipes. She offers 2 main dishes and a recipe for Red Velvet Pancakes, all low on calories and high on taste. Download The Guilt Free 3 for free!
Goose Berry Patch Cookbooks have regular food with regular ingredients. This one was still free on Friday (that could change quickly though). The recipe for Holiday Brie sounds divine and I’m looking forward to trying it. Download Circle of Friends Cookbook – 25 Dip & Spread Recipes now.
I grabbed this RV Cooking Cookbook earlier in the week when it was free. It’s now $2.99, still a great price. I don’t camp, but this book has some great tips and recipes for getting your food cooked in a home on wheels. (That really makes me want to watch The Long, Long Trailer with Lucille Ball!) You can buy RV Cooking Cookbook (Gooseberry Patch Classics) now.
I also have this slow-cooker recipe book. It’s just 99 cents right now. Get Circle of Friends Cookbook 25 Slow Cooker Recipes: Exclusive online cookbook here.
And of course, there’s mine. I couldn’t resist adding it. Feast in 15 is $4.99 on Kindle. But you can also get it as a PDF on feastin15.com.
And now a question for you! I’ll share free and cheap cookbooks as I come across them, but I also wonder if you’re interested in other free and cheap ebooks. I like to read and have found some good fiction ebooks that I enjoyed. I’d love to share them, but I know it’s a bit off-topic. Are you interested in hearing about fiction? If so, leave a comment below!
By the way, those are all Amazon affiliate links. Just wanted you to know
Have a fantastic Labor Day Weekend!

I would definitely be interested in hearing about other free and cheap ebooks. My husband and I just got a Kindle in June, so we’re trying not to spend too much money loading it up with stuff.

I don’t have a Kindle, but I’ve heard many libraries offer books, including cookbooks, for dowload on a temporary basis. That would be a great way to preview a cookbook before buying!

I’ve had a Kindle since last Christmas and love it! I follow a blog called Pixel of Ink; you can google them or find them on Facebook (and maybe Twitter?). They highlight several books that Amazon puts on for free or cheap. They have fiction mostly, but some nonfiction and I’ve even seen some cookbooks highlighted! It’s the best site I’ve found for free or cheap ebooks. Sometimes they even tell you about Nook deals.

Love, love, love my kindle. How on earth did I live without it…lol
there are several sites on facebook that post free book. I’ve loaded my up with many new authors that I’m excited to read more of there work. Not all have been good reads but some have been not only good but exceptional. I think it’s a wonderful way to learn about and find new favorite writers.

How do you find free books for your Kindle? I haven’t figured that out yet. I love my Kindle but I need some suggestions on how to find free ones.
Love the free cookbooks you suggested, I am off to check them out now.

Hi Tiffany,
LOVE your blog.
I have a grandson away at college and would like to send him some food “care packages” during the school year. Can you give suggestions on what I might put in them that would pack and mail well?
Tiffany says
Rosemary, I haven’t done much mailing of food. I used to send things to my brothers-in-law who were serving in Iraq, but I never sent homemade goodies. I think the trick might be in packing things well, with bubble wrap or packing peanuts.

I enjoy fiction books – especially mystery – I have a kindle but rarely have used it. Its one of the first ones they came out with. Maybe I’ll use it if you mention some books that are interesting.
Thanks
