Don’t let the number of ingredients in the picture scare you. It’s all very tiny amounts (of course) and it just gives the kids more to measure – always fun!

Gather up your ingredients and find your little cook:

1 Tbs. brown sugar

1/2 Tbs. peanut butter

1/2 Tbs. pancake syrup

1/16 tsp. vanilla

1/4 cup oats

1/2 Tbs. butter

1 Tbs. chocolate chips

Combine all the ingredients and press into greased and floured pans. Bake 12-15 minutes. Makes 2-3 cakes.

These tasted very good. This recipe is from Baking with Mommy Cookbook. I highly recommend it.

  1. Congratulations, top 10 out of someone’s 800…not bad! I’m here for the recipe though, think I’ll be making them with my kids for the 4H snack. I see the healthiness factor, and ease. Perfect!

  2. Just stopping by your blog for the first time and love it! This recipe looks very good. My daughter would love making it.

  3. Tiffany, thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I am SO EXCITED to have found yours! This is info. a girl can USE! I’ll be back.

  4. How cool is this?!

I’ll have to look up that book for my friend who loves to bake and is soon going to be a mother. This seems like something right up her alley.

  5. I had a Holly Hobbie Easy Bake Oven when I was a kid. It was designed like one of those old-fashioned wrought-iron stoves from the 19th century. I loved it! I still miss it…:(

  6. My kids just got an easy bake oven for christmas. I also refuse to pay for mixes so this recipe will come in quite handy. Thank you very much. I feel like I saw a cookbook devoted entirely to using the EBO without mixes a year or so ago. Sounds like you’ve got it covered on your own though.
