I’m a cheater.  I love a good short cut.

It’s not that I don’t like to cook.  I think cooking is fun.

It’s just that I don’t want to spend a lot of time doing it on a weeknight, after a long day of school and work and laundry and errands…  You know the drill.

What I do want, is to be able to make a healthy dinner for my family to share together at the end of the day.  In order to do that on a consistent basis, I’m always looking for a few good cheats.

For the month of October, we’re going to be participating in the popular “31 Days” series that The Nester started a few years ago.  We’ll be posting 7 days a week and each post will include a cheat for you; a way for you to speed your cooking process.

Our schedule will stay largely the same, with Free Menus + Grocery Lists, Ingredient Spotlight and lots of recipes, but our goal is to provide a good short cut idea in each post.

I hope you’ll join us for this series.  Subscribe by daily or weekly emails (and get a free slow cooker ebook) or RSS so you don’t miss a post.

We focused on one of my favorite cheats this week in Ingredient Spotlight: Frozen Dough.  There’s still time to add your recipes.  Here are a few that have already linked up that caught my eye:

Tomato Bacon Basil Pizza Rolls from The Sweets Life look amazing.

Chocolate Caramel Stuffed Monkey Bread from Candy Girl is a delicious twist on a classic.

Sausage Stuffed Loaf from Once a Month Mom is a fun freezer meal.

I hope you have a great weekend!
