It’s like a S’more. Only built like a nacho.
Oh yeah, and it has caramel. And fudge.
And you don’t hold it on a stick over a fire.
I’d love to say this idea was mine, but it wasn’t. Original idea belongs to George Duran. I saw the title on his website and decided to run with it. Mine are constructed different than his. I didn’t check out his recipe until after I made them. He uses chocolate bars and constructs them in a skillet.
I used caramel ice cream topping, hot fudge and caramel swirl marshmallows. I don’t think you can go wrong, no matter how you do it. Here’s how I constructed them:
I started by breaking up graham crackers and placing them on a baking stone. I wanted them to be piled on each other, kind of like tortilla chips are in savory nachos. Then I generously swirled hot fudge (heated in the microwave) and caramel syrup over the top.
Next, I placed caramel swirl marshmallows on top of it all.
Into the oven they go at 350 degrees. This is to get the marshmallows melting. After a few minutes, I used the back of a spoon to flatten the marshmallows a bit. Once they were good and melty, I switched the oven to broil. Watch them close. It only takes a couple of minutes to brown them.
Here’s the whole recipe/method in one spot:
Caramel Fudge S’more Nachos
- 1 sleeve graham crackers
- about 1/2 jar hot fudge, warmed
- generous squirt of caramel topping
- about 16 marshmallows or caramel swirl marshmallows
Break the graham crackers into pieces. Place them in uneven layers on a baking stone or cookie sheet. Swirl hot fudge and caramel topping over the top. Place marshmallows on top of it all. Bake at 350 for several minutes, until marshmallows start to melt a bit. Test this by smooshing them with the back of a spoon. Turn the oven to broil and toast the marshmallows. Serve with a big glass of milk.

Did you ever see that movie where two guys are sharing a plate of nachos, and one says something like, “But if the nachos are stuck together that counts as just one nacho!” — this made me think of that. Hehehe.
Thanks for dropping by my blog. Have a great week! 🙂

This looks delicious! I also think that it would be good with Golden Grahams poured into the pan instead of graham crackers 🙂
