The picture of the beach is just because there have been a couple of moments this week when I wished I could be at the beach, watching my cares wash away with the waves. Maybe you’ve had a few moments like that this week too. If so, look at the picture with me and take a deep breath. Aaaaah. Feel better yet?
I did find some very cool things this week that I want to share with you. First up is the blog of one of my readers, Sherri. Her blog is called Everything in Moderation and she is always sharing fabulous recipes there. One that caught my eye this week is Best Ever Tortilla Cherry “Cobbler”. I am going to have to make that one of these days, but my list of to-make desserts is getting loooong! Sherri has lots of great recipes on her blog, so pop over and visit her. She also has a special request for a soldier who is a friend of her son. Tyson was critically injured in a roadside bombing in Afghanistan. She’s asking for people to send him encouraging cards and letters. You can find his address on her blog.
Tina, from Mommy’s Kitchen and I have been on the same cooking wave length a few times recently. She posted an awesome meatloaf recipe the same day I posted a meatloaf recipe. And she made Pudding Pops and posted the recipe shortly after I posted Jello Popsicles, which got many of us wondering how to make Pudding Pops. So, if you want to know the answer to that delicious question, pop over to Mommy’s Kitchen.
One more cool thing to share with you: Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond launched a new site called Tasty Kitchen this week. I’ve had the chance to buzz around over there a bit this week and it is just an awesome resource and community. There are already hundreds of recipes that have been shared. Be sure to click the name of the person who submitted the recipe. Doing so will take you to a page about that person and if they have a blog, it will be linked there. I have found several new-to-me blogs to enjoy. You can see my member page here. Let me know if you’re a member at Tasty Kitchen. If you’re not yet, you might want to consider it. It’s a great resource for home cooks and food bloggers.

That is a beautiful picture and those photos of food on the side bar are killing me. I’m trying to “eat healthy” and I’m wanting to eat EVERYTHING!
