What do you do when you have several unrelated items to cover and none are big enough to warrant their own post?
Make a “box of chocolates”!
In this post, you’ll find the Ingredient Spotlight Schedule, get a re-cap on how to print recipes, find out if you are an Eat at Home Cook and more. Let’s dig in!
1. The Ingredient Spotlight schedule is up for those interested in knowing what’s coming. I’ve created a separate page for it which you can find by clicking those linked blue words.
2. You can easily print recipes from Eat at Home, with or without photos. Here are the instructions for printing.
3. Ever wonder what Eat at Home is really all about and if you’re an Eat at Home Cook? You can find both answers here.
4. And finally, I’ve made 4 recipes lately that have not been great. A Raspberry Cream pie with chocolate crust should have been wonderful, but was not. At all.
French Onion Soup and Potato and Leek Soup – both were just okay.
But the worst was homemade mac & cheese with 2 kinds of cheese, broccoli and whole wheat macaroni. Bland. Flavorless, despite having a cup of pepper jack cheese. And the whole wheat pasta tasted like wet cardboard.
I need to get out of this cooking slump or I’ll have no recipes to share with you!
5. I know I said #4 was “finally”, but I’ve got one more thing. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my oldest daughter! She is 19 years old today and I’m so very proud of her. She occasionally leaves comments on my posts as urDaughter, but usually only if she needs to find a recipe for her favorite chocolate chip pancakes with coconut syrup.
6. (I’m no good at “finally”) HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Jim! On Sunday, we celebrate 23 years of marriage. I’m so blessed to have him as my husband. He is a true gift from God.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I’ll be back Monday with a new menu + grocery list and Tuesday holds another installment in the “Resolutionize” series.

Hooray for birthdays and anniversaries! Congratulations! Yes, you are so blessed. Miss you Tiffany!

Have a great week end celebrating. But tell us, how did you celebrate your 4th anniversary?
Tiffany says
I think our 4th anniversary was our best 🙂
SandyW says
How sweet. Jim would have to think long and hard to come up with any gift that would top a beautiful new baby girl.

I hate it when recipes don’t turn out right. I usually add a tiny dash of nutmeg (a little goes a very long way) and cayenne to my mac and cheese. Happy Birthday and Anniversary!!! Sounds like y’all have a busy, dessert-filled weekend ahead!! God bless and thanks so much for this site!

Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby and Happy Birthday to your daughter! 🙂

I’ve added broccoli to mac n’ cheese before and it was good…kids didn’t eat it but the grown-ups did! It may be cliche, but my key to mac n’ cheese is garlic salt & a dash of pepper. My mother-in-law adds kielbasa, but I like to use turkey sausage. Yum! Now I’m hungry just thinking about it! LOL
Tiffany says
Nicky, I’ve never tried the garlic salt in macaroni, but I think it sounds great! Thanks for the tip!

WOW! Two special celebrations! I get a bit down when I make recipes not worth sharing too. Keep trying – I will too, and I will definitely look forward to more recipes right here…thanks for all you do!

I also think your ‘box of chocolates’ post is one terrific topic idea! VERY clever!!

I’ve never been able to dig whole wheat pasta. I like the blended ones and the low carb and protein ones taste just like regular pasta. But 100% WW? Kinda yuk.
