What I’ve been reading
I loved this book. When I first heard about it, I was skeptical that it would hold much for me.
But, oh! It holds so much. Emily Freeman speaks the truth in such a way that it caused me to see things in my life with much more clarity than I’d previously had.
A Million Little Ways is one I’ll be reading again. It’s one to savor and ponder. Loved it!
I’m only part way through The Traveler’s Gift, but I’m loving it. This is one of those books I’d love to assign to my older kids to read. Or better yet, do as a read aloud so we can discuss.
It’s told as a fiction story and one that is compelling too. But Andy Andrews shares such good truths in each chapter.
Weekend Links
I’ve already started my Christmas shopping. Only because I’ve been shopping online. And mostly because Mara at Kosher on a Budget has a knack for finding exactly what I need, even when I don’t know I need it. She had a great deal on the perfect gift for one of my hardest to buy for people. I never, ever would have thought of this item, but it’s going to make him very happy.

I’ve added another blog to my reader. Assortment is a beautiful blog about living with less and in less space. The photos and words are soothing and thought provoking. It turns out that I know someone who knows Carmella, the author of Assortment. Carmella homeschools, has growing boys, and even has a basketball goal in her living room. So we have a lot in common. Our basketball goal hangs in our entry way on the front door though. Recess in the foyer, anyone?
But our two blogs and lives couldn’t look more different. And that’s part of why I’ve been enjoying Assortment. It’s fun to step outside your own life and virtually visit with someone who does life different than you, but with many of the same end goals in mind.
I hope you have a beautiful weekend!
