I’m not sure that Chicken Philly is the best name for these sandwiches, but it’s the one I came up with and I’m sticking to it. Regardless of the name, these sandwiches are both tasty and easy.
Boneless chicken cooks in the slow cooker, along with artichoke hearts, green peppers and onions. Once it’s cooked, the meat is shredded and served on toasted buns topped with cheese.
We love sandwiches like this with French fries. Carrots and dip make a great side dish too. I’ve even been known to serve popcorn with sandwiches on especially busy nights.
Sometimes, it really is just about getting everyone fed. And this slow cooker recipe makes that easy and delicious too.
