Instant Pot Split Pea Soup with Ham

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. split peas, rinsed
  • 2-3 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • lbs. ham steak with bone, diced
  • ½ tsp. sugar
  • ¼ tsp. marjoram
  • tsp. pepper
  • 32 oz. chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • cups milk
  • 1 cup half & half
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients, except half and half and milk, to the pressure cooker pot. 
  • Set manual cook time for 15 minutes. 
  • Do a quick pressure release.
  • Remove the ham bone.
  • Stir in the half & half and milk.
  • Hit the saute button and cook until heated through, but do not let boil. If the pot gets close to boiling, remove it from the Instant Pot.
