These snack mixes couldn’t be easier to make. They’re perfect for teacher gifts or for the people you work with or anyone else you’d like to give a small gift to this year.
These snack mix jars are the perfect solution for when you have absolutely no ideas and very little time to execute anything.
Everything looks better in a Mason jar, right? Plus, what could be easier?
My family munched on these snack mixes before I even finished making them. I had to beat them off with a stick until I could take the photos.
I’ve got 4 snack mix ideas here, but use these just as a jumping off point. Feel free to do your own thing. I really wanted to do a Circus Mix with iced animal cookies, colorful marshmallows, peanuts and…whatever else sounded good. I also think a Coffee Break Mix with chocolate covered coffee beans and other stuff sounds great. Use your imagination and invent your own. Or use the ideas below.
Bonus: There’s a free printable to go with the Hollywood Mix. I bribed my daughter into making it for us and I think she did a great job!

This Banana Pudding Snack Mix tastes just like banana pudding. Well, if you could hold banana pudding in your hand and munch it with your fingers. Delish!
The classic flavors of the Chunky Monkey Snack Mix – peanuts, chocolate and bananas, together at last.
And lastly, this Dark Chocolate Cranberry Almond Snack Mix. I love these dark cocoa covered almonds and they pair up well with the mixed berries. This would make a perfect snack to keep on your desk at the office.
I’m going to make more of these so I have them to give during the holiday season. I think I’ll hide them, so my family doesn’t eat them all. Do you have other ideas for make-ahead snack mixes?
Great idea but take it a step further. Cut a square of holiday fabric, place it over the lid and tie a ribbon around the ring. I did that one year when gifting homemade salsa and it really dressed them up.
about the Dark Choc. and Cranberry Choc. recipe– what kind of chocolate do you use & how much? Also, do you use dried cranberries only or some kind of mixed berries?? What kind of berries?
Hi Gale – the “dark chocolate” in this recipe is actually from the cocoa dusted almonds instead of dark chocolate chips. I used the cranberries for this recipe, but the beautiful thing about snack mixes is that you can use (or omit) whatever you like. You could add dark chocolate chips, a mix of dried berries, whatever you or your recipients prefer!

What is in the chocolate almond mix? None of them show up at all.
We had something happen with the recipe plugin on this page and are working to fix it. The almonds were just cocoa dusted almonds that you can purchase and dried cranberries.
Is there another page with the ingredients for the other mixes? I’m interested in making these as gifts for Christmas, but I’d love printable formats for all of them. Thanks!

Your website is new to me. I’m looking for the recipes for all 4 Mixes, however, all recipes are displayed as the Hollywood Movie Mix. The jars look yummy and I wanted to make these for my nieces and nephews to enjoy while on Fall Break from School. I will visit again later and hopefully the recipes will appear.

8 oz. mini vanilla wafers
8 oz. banana chips
12 oz. white baking chips

I hope you don’t mind, but I am renaming the “Hollywood Mix”.
I’ll call it Vader mix (you know the dark side & light side)–we have such big Star Wars Fans around here. Now for a Super Hero Mix, Hogwart’s Mix & a Princess Mix.
Thinking of adding those shaped fruit snacks I never buy. BTW these are for adults (I wouldn’t go so far as to call them grown-ups).

How long will the Hollywood mix stay good for once I put it into the jar?
It should stay good for a pretty long time. Definitely into New Year’s or even Valentine’s Day. However, once you give it to someone I don’t think it will last long at all. My family finished it all off in pretty short order 🙂

How about calling the dark chocolate, almond, and dried berries mix the “Antioxidant Mix” or something like that? All of those things are soooooooooo tasty but still good for you!
Oh my goodness, I LOVE this! I would love to do a whole baking week to make delicious treats for our family and friends. But, with a two year old and 5 month old, I am lucky to get dinner on the table each night. What a great way to make an easy, homemade treat for Christmas. Thanks so much for sharing!

Such a great idea! To be honest, I have very little money (if any at all) to spend this year on gifts…this is great. I didn’t really know how to tell everyone I didn’t have money for gifts for them…..but now I can fill their tummies with love and not drain my wallet!
