Beefy Penne Bake

Servings 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. penne pasta
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 onion diced
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 28 oz can Red Gold crushed tomatoes
  • 15 oz can Red Gold tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1.5 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 1 tsp. parsley
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Cook the penne pasta according to the package directions, al dente.
  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef, onion and garlic together.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients, except the cheese. Heat sauce over medium heat until pasta is done.
  • Stir sauce into cooked and drained pasta.
  • Pour into 9x13 casserole dish.
  • Top with cheese.
  • Bake covered at 350 for 20-30 minutes.
