Chances are, if you don’t live in the South, you may never have had grits before. They are usually served at breakfast, but I love having breakfast for dinner. And I love this slow cooker version from Add a Pinch.
Robyn adds cheese to the top of hers. To me, grits by themselves don’t have much to offer. Other people prefer them plain. But I’ll always top something with cheese, if given the chance.
These grits cook a long time in the slow cooker, so you can make them overnight or cook them all day if you’re having breakfast for dinner.
Make some eggs, bacon and biscuits to go with them. Serve it all up with fresh fruit.
