Menu, Grocery List, Recipes – Week 48



The menu this week is full of fresh summer produce.  I hope you can “shop” a garden or good road side stand for the fruits and veggies.  Even if you need to shop in a grocery store, you can still take advantage of everything that is in season right now.

You’ll do some grilling this week as well as slow cooking.  The Tamale Sandwiches make enough to stock extra in the freezer for quick and easy meals later.  I know a lot of the country is under a heat wave, so I wanted to keep you as cool as possible.

After I put the menu together, I realized it has two Asian dishes.  But as my daughter says, people in Asia eat Asian food every day, we can eat it twice in one week.

The menu includes 6 dinners and 1 dessert.  Serving suggestions are included in bold on the recipes and in curly brackets {} on the grocery list.
