Low Cost Meals Menu, Grocery List Recipes – Week 12

If you like printing these menus and grocery lists, check out the new Eat at Home Weekly Meal Plan service.  Subscribers get both the Traditional and All Slow Cooker versions emailed each week.  It’s the easiest way to eat at home!

weeklymenusThis week’s menu focuses on low-cost meals.   Everything is quick and easy to make.  One night, you’ll double your effort by making a big pot of Hamburger Vegetable soup.  Depending on your family size you can freeze half of it (or more) to feed everyone again on a busy night.

This menu also includes Depression Era Bread.  Adding bread to a meal stretches the food, making it more economical.  Depression Era Bread is very cheap to make and you end up with a lot of loaves.   It’s time well spent.

I know so many people are trying to stretch their food budget as far as it will go.  I hope that this menu will help.  If you want to print the first Low Cost Meals Menu and Grocery list you can click here.

A few notes about the menu and grocery list:

  • There are 6 dinners and 1 dessert
  • The recipe for Depression Era Bread is included, and the ingredients are listed on the grocery list.
  • Serving Suggestions are listed in bold on the recipes and in curly brackets {} on the grocery list.
  • You can get 2 or more meals out of the Hamburger Vegetable Soup by freezing the extra.

The menu includes:

Potato Soup

Chipped Beef Gravy over Cornbread

Hamburger Vegetable Soup

Mexican Beans and Rice
