Parmesan Fettucini

Parmesan fettucini done

I love it when something so simple tastes so delicious.  Three ingredients plus a shake of black pepper and you’ve got a super side dish.  Or, keep supper really simple by adding a tossed salad and calling it a meal – a good one, at that.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Parmesan fettucini ingr

  • 1 lb Fettucini
  • 3-4 Tbs. butter, sliced into pats
  • 1-2 cups Parmesan, grated or shredded
  • fresh ground black pepper, to taste

Boil the fettucini according to the package directions.  Drain and add the butter, Parmesan and pepper.  This is my kind of recipe – quick, easy and delicious.

Does it bother anyone else that I set the butter upside down in the ingredients picture?  Am I alone in this annoyance?

  1. I am so, so bothered that the butter is upside down… geez…. 🙂

Great recipe! This is what I usually make for my kids when hubby and I have marinara sauce. For some reason, the kids are convinced that if it’s red then it’s spicy!

  2. I’m a bit annoyed by the butter. This recipe is always makes my gang happy. It’s simple and taste great.

  3. Oh I need this….easy…yummy….and right up my husband’s alley…..another one for my recipe box….

  4. Man, your photos always make the dish look so scrumptious. Even the simplest of dishes!!

You’re funny… no the upside-down butter doesn’t bother me. But it does give a little insight into you! 🙂

  5. This looks delish! I’m afraid to try it though, I’m afraid my boys will stop eating it with sauce on it, lol!

BTW, the upside down butter didn’t bother me until you said something. :o)

  6. Delicious and simple….my kinda dish! The butter doesn’t bother me at all, I’ll take it anyway I can get it 🙂

  7. Tiffany – I just discovered your website and it’s wonderful! I knew when I found your Parmesean Fettucini, I’d found a new favorite. We love this around our house. So simple and so comforting. Quick, too! Oh, and the butter…. is it upside down? I just checked mine in the fridge and it looks just like yours. Guess we buy the same brand. 🙂

  8. Don’t put butter in the fettucine, while the pasta is hot, drizzle in a little olive oil, sprinkle in dried basil (or if you have fresh basil – chop fine and stir in) grate a clove of raw garlic or put through a garlic press (if you like garlic) then sprinkle over the grated parmesan. That is way better.
