A few notes about the menu, grocery list and recipes:

– The menu includes 6 dinners. That will give you a day to eat left overs, eat out or fix a family favorite.

– Two of the meals are crockpot dishes for those extra busy days. All of the meals are quick to fix.

– You get a bonus meal to put in the freezer. One night you’ll double your effort by making 2 meals in the same amount of time that it takes to make one.

– Recipes include serving suggestions. Those suggestions that are in bold are also included in curly brackets {} on the grocery list.

– If you’d like to see pictures and more detailed directions, here is the list to the recipe links.

50s Prime Time Meat Loaf

Shrimp Scampi

Hash Brown Casserole with Smoked Sausage or Ham in the crockpot

Rustic Italian Sausage Pasta with Roasted Red Peppers and Two Cheese Sauce

Crockpot Cantonese Sweet and Sour Chicken

  1. Wow! A friend shared your link with me and I just wanted to say thank you! I have been looking for some new recipes and it’s great to get it all at one spot. Thanks so much!

  2. I don’t have a crockpot, so I use an enameled cast-iron pot in a low oven: 250-300 degrees F. I live in Texas, so I only do this in the winter. It has the added benefit of warming up the house so that I can turn my thermostat down.

  3. Love this site and the recipes!! Thanks so much!

  4. I was paying for a weekly menu to be sent to me. They were pretty good to so-s0, but these recipes look awesome!

  5. Wow how nice to have a menu grocery list and recipes all in one place!
    Thank you so much!

  6. I LOVE your site! My girlfriend just sent me the link and I love it. This is going to make my life soooo much easier! Thank you for all the great recipes and keep up the good work!

  7. Where is week 1? I wanted to send the link to my sister. Thanks for the great recipes.

  8. Kim Mays says:

A friend sent me to your site and it is the answer to my prayers. I am extremely meal planning challenged. I really am so tired of eating out. The food is not quality and expenses add up quickly. My husband and I both work and have stressful careers, the last thing I want to do is cook, but your planning and having everything organized in one spot is what I have been looking for. THANK YOU 🙂

Thanks for the wonderful recipes, but do you have more than 26 weeks? am I missing another website?

  10. I love this website – but I would really like to see some more Gluten-Free recipes – we are a mostly gf household and while I can make a lot of adjustments it would be nice to have some gf things to make…good work and thanks for the help!!!

  11. You are awesome! Thank you for making this public and free — it helps me SO much!

  12. Hi! I just discovered your blog and it is just what I am looking for! I’ve already downloaded and printed out Week’s 1 menu! Thank you so much for doing this!

  13. Oh wow!!! I just found your website today and I just can’t seem to get off this puter now!!! Thankyou so much for sharing all these wonderful recipes!!! Now I am motivated to get my crockpot out and cook away:)) My hubby will be so surprised!!!

  14. L O V E

thank you thank you thank you!!!!

  15. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your site! Thanks for making straight forward, FAMILY FRIENDLY, BUDGET FRIENDLY delicious foods! I’m working on your “Budget” meal plan this week with the Depression Era bread. (My first meal plan I’ve used off your site!) I was nervous about actually baking my own bread but the house smells WONDERFUL can’t wait to try it! Thanks for a WONDERFUL SITE I stop by frequently!!

  16. I posted a link to this on my blog. It’s fantastic, thank you!

  17. I absolutely love this site. I stumbled upon it looking for recipes. I have tried week 35. My husband and I love the Chili Enchilada Bake. Thank You!

  18. I was looking through your site, and I already downloaded different recipes for each week. I also started downloading recipes for “year 2”, but I only got to 9 of them, so I was wondering what happened to the rest of them.

  19. I just happened upon your blog through another blogger and wanted to say your site is AWESOME!

I just browsed through some recipes and I can’t wait to try them.

You’ve got a new follower. Hope you’ll take a minute to check me out.

  20. I officially want to marry you! (kidding) I love the changes to your already fabulous blog and these weekly menus – “LIKE”. Just want to tell you. 🙂

  21. Just found this site. First week grocery trip done. I edited the grocery list to change up a couple of the meals due to food allergies and picky family members. As a working mom this looks like a huge help! I am curious as to how the monthly grocery/takeout expenses will change.

  22. I am a crazy menu planning type of mom. I have made weekly menus for years and love the simplicity of this. You have taken the hard work of trying to fit in new recipes and lo cost meals into one. My only complaint/suggestion is that i would like to know your serving sizes for each meal. i have a family of 8 that i feed so planning ahead is very important to me. Other than that THANK YOU for your help!!!

    • Korie, I’m notoriously bad about remembering to add serving sizes. I also find they are relative (a family of 6 with toddlers will not eat as much as a family of 4 with teen boys). I have 6 people in my family. My kids are 19 yrs down to 9 yrs old, so most of my recipes will serve 6-8. Some serve more than that and I often mention that in the post, especially if I can get two meals from it. I’m trying to be better about remembering to add serving sizes 🙂

      • Well I am overly excited about your website. i have a 2″ black binder with a whole years worth of your menu printed and bound. My kids laugh at me cause i tell them no one is allowed to touch my black book. lol As far as the serving suggestions it would be a big help but as i cook meals i am writing down if I should double them myself or not. Thanks so much.

  23. WOW! This is amazing – thank you for all your hard work in putting this together!

  24. This is the best thing since sliced bread! Thank you so much for this!

  25. WOW! This is awesome!!! I found you through a friend on pinterest and all I can say is that I’m SUPER excited to try it all out!!! 🙂

  26. This is awesome!!! Can’t wait to try it out!

  27. Found this on Pinterest and WOW! Thanks!

  28. Thank you very much! I normally do 2 crockpot nights a week and I use several sites to get my ideas for menus. This gives me another source and I am truly grateful for it. I appreciate all the work you do to keep this up and running.

  29. Rica Goettsche says:

I am blogging about cooking my way through this 🙂 thanks so much. I am new to being a SAHM, so this is a big big BIG help!

  30. You are wonderful.

  31. LOVE YOUR SITE! I found you on pinterest and am a follower now. 🙂

  32. Oh my gosh..I just randomly found this but these menus are exactly what I have been looking for. I’m trying to get healthy and lose like twenty pounds so my doctor will shut up. This is awesome….I like almost everything and I am the pickiest eater in the world!!!!!

  33. I am new to your blog and have liked everything in week one so far!! Thank you, thank you for kid friendly foods and the shopping list! Question regarding week one shopping list…I bought a devils food cake and marshmallows…is there a recipe that uses these? I didn’t see it with week one recipes. Thanks!!

  34. This is my 7th week of using this menu plan. My family has loved everything. In fact when we had guests over the other night my husband suggested the Chicken Pasta with Feta Cheese recipe and it was a hit.

I have given this site to my grown children and they love it. My daughter in law even now cooks and her finicky kids will eat.

I can’t wait for next week.

  35. Just wanted to say THANK YOUUUUUU a TON for posting this. You’re a life saver!

  36. gina foose says:

THANK YOU! This is an area that has always challenged me. I can not explain how helpful this is.

  37. How many people does this serve?

    • Leslie, most of the recipes serve 6-8. The meatloaf will yield 2 meals if you’re serving about 6 people each time. I split it into 2 loaves and freeze one for later.

  38. Debbie Lareau says:

Hello, I was wondering if you have any weeks of meals without milk products in them? I am allergic to milk, so cheese, sour cream and anything with milk will not work at my house. Thanks!

    • Debbie, I don’t have any menus that are dedicated to milk-free recipes. Many of the recipes don’t have milk or are easily altered, but I’m afraid I haven’t ever really thought about that. Sorry!

  39. Oh my goodness!!! This is wonderful! What a well put together website. I love when I come across a website that is done in an organized way, with easy to find info. and excellent ideas! After being a stay at home mom for 7 years, I went back to teaching now that my kids are in school. I have struggled to cook at home and find time for planning meals. I am expecting this to save me a lot of time, brain space, and money. It certainly can’t be as expensive as eating out every other day, as it seems we do now. Thank you for sharing your gifting and talent for FREE to other families, and investing in lives all over the world, by enabling us to have at home family dinners! What a blessing!

  40. Dawn Reid says:

This site has been an absoulute dinner saver!!! We have enjoyed every single week of our dinners!!! It is funny how my family asks everyday what is for dinner!!! Thanks for posting!

  41. barbara says:

i just printed off the first week’s list! All of the recipies sounds great, cant wait to try them out! thanks for making it so easy for us that arent good at planning or preparing lol 😛

  42. I found you on pinterest. Wow! A menu that is free and full of recipes that appeal to my family!! Thank you so much!

  43. I recently started working. I have always been a stay at home mom. In my attempts to make the most of my time the thing that has slipped is cooking and family dinners. We eat out way TOO much. This is sincerely an answer to my prayers. Thank you so much for all the time it must have taken you to put this together. You have my life so much easier!

  44. YOU ARE AMAZNG!!! I have been a mom for almost 13 years and have looked for something like this! Im like you, I like t try new things and I am very much a planner. I know that shopping with a list saves money so i have always made my own menus and lists, which takes hours! I now have a family of 6 and a lot less time for planning. I am so thankful that you have done this and that you do it free! I put your grocery list and all recipes in a plastic page protector (1 for all) and when I shop i use a dry erase pen to cross off my list then at home cooking I rotate the menus and the protector keeps my pages clean when cooking. Again thank you soooo much, this is just what i need.

  45. Srredmond says:

How generous of you to do all this. Incredible!

  46. I absolutely love these list. Some of the meals are not meals my family is familiar with but I’m so excited to try them. I love love love that each week has meals, recipes, and a grocery list. Above all, I love that these ideas are given to us for free. Tiffany you are so generous with your talents. Thank you!!

  47. I LOVE YOU!!!!! Thank you!!

  48. Week one was amazing! All the meals were fantastic!

  49. Lisa P. says:

I came across this site on Pinterest. I am currently on Week 3 and am in love with the ease of having everything planned out, and the recipes are easy and really good. I have a dry erase board on the wall in my kitchen and I love writing out the Menu Plan for the family each week, which eliminates answering the question “What’s for Dinner?” each day multiplied by 4 (since we’re a family of 5!). I love not having to write out a grocery list each week, nor having to come up with an idea for supper every night. It has really given me a mental break, as well as being economical for us, and alleviating any dinners out. I can’t say enough good about it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

  50. Michelle says:

I want to thank you so much for all the work you did on this blog to help mommies everywhere. I seem to fix the same ol’ things and you have made life ever-so-easy to try new things and bring dinner back to the table. THANK YOU!!! All of your tireless hours have certainly helped this familiy.

  51. I cannot tell you how very excited and hopeful I am to have found your website! This is such a wonderful, thoughtful, awesome, helpful thing for you to do!! I hate cooking and am terrible actually making myself do the planning so this is a dream come true! I really want to feed my family better than I do now. Thank you!!!

  52. I have been using your recipes for about two weeks now. I love your recipes, they are super yummy and my family enjoying them as well. Thanks so much for taking the time to put this blog series together, it has saved me so much time, plus has given me a newfound inspiration for cooking at home. Thanks again. ;o)

  53. Tiffany–Fantastic website!! I am ecstatic to find something like this! Your meals look reasonable and simple! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! You have a great website!!! Oh I am so HAPPY!!

  54. I don’t know what I would do without this site!!! You make it so easy to plan my meals. My kids and husband love your recipes! This would be a great website for new Mom’s and newly weds. I also love that your recipes are easy to follow and the ingredients can be found at the local market. No fancy pants ingredients are needed. Thanks again!!

  55. Markus Allen says:

Loved the concept of the site having the shopping list with each week, but too many of the recipes repeat on a regular basis. Has hoping for more variety in meals. Thanks!

  56. I found this on Pinterest and it’s my favorite pin yet! I couldn’t ask for more! You’ve made it so easy for me! Thanks for hard work, this had to of taken awhile.

  57. Lutisha says:

I would like to purchase a whole years worth of this. Problem is I dont want a $4 charge to my card every month I would like to just make a one time payment. Is there anyway to do this???
