Bramble Beans

A friend gave me this recipe years ago.  I make it every once in a while and we like it.  The only reason I haven’t shared it with you before is that it isn’t very photogenic.  Some of my past attempts to photograph it have been dismal.

One reason I like this dish is that it can be cooked on the stove top or in the oven.  I’ve never tried it, but I bet it would work in the slow cooker too.

Potato Salad

There must be a million and one variations of potato salad.  This is my mom’s version, which is a lot like my Grandma’s version.  The main difference is that mom adds sweet pickles to hers.  Grandma’s was full of paprika and is one of my favorite foods that she made.

Crockpot Honey Mustard Chicken


I love a good crockpot recipe.  This one is adapted from a cookbook called 365 Ways to Cook Chicken.  It was originally done in the oven, but the crockpot is often more convenient.  By changing just one ingredient I was able to turn it into a crockpot recipe.  (Check out 6 Tips to Convert Recipes for Use in the Crockpot.)  Now it only has 3 ingredients, plus salt and pepper and prep time is less than 5 minutes.  How can you beat that?
