Menu, Grocery List, Recipes – Week 38

This menu has a couple of bonuses for you.  First, if you choose to double the Spicy Garlic Chicken Pizza you can eat one for dinner and put the other in the freezer for the future.  This is one of the meals I’ll be making to take with us on vacation.  It’s so good!

The other bonus is the Zesty Chicken in the slow cooker.  Buy a good sized chicken and you should have enough meat that you can put some in the freezer for soups and casseroles.  I love having cooked chicken in the freezer.  It makes fixing dinner so fast.

As always, the menu includes 6 dinners and 1 dessert.  Serving suggestions are included on the recipes in bold and on the grocery list in curly brackets {}.

Here’s what’s on the menu this week:

  1. oh I am definitely doing the chicken in the slow cooker plus those Gina Sandwiches! My meal plan for next week will be done well ahead of time – thanks!!

We tend to just grill chicken in the warm months, but I honestly get bored with it plus we don’t have as many leftovers, so I’m hoping the slow cooker chicken works out as it can keep my kitchen cool but also give me some good leftovers and a slight change of pace from grilling!

  2. We are eating vegetarian for the month of May just as an experiment. Those lentil tacos sound great! I am putting them on the menu for Saturday.

  3. Tiffany:
Just wish I could print the recipes with pictures in one click instead of having to open each one. You’ve made my life easier. I pick and choose what my family likes. I’ve used several of your crockpot recipes and my family just loved them. I prepared your spaghetti sauce awhile back and just took one batch out of the freezer. Easy, convenient and delicious. Great! thank you.
