17 Autumn Desserts to Welcome the Season!

Shares 27

I just love fall. The cool crisp air. The gorgeous vibrant colors. And of course, most of all, the wonderful, aromatic flavors of autumn ingredients. Pumpkins, winter squash apples, cinnamon, caramel and spice! There’s nothing better than that. This collection of 17 Autumn Desserts is proof of my love for baking treats with these ingredients.

17 Autumn Desserts

Pumpkins are for more than Decorating!

1) This Caramel Pumpkin Cake is one of those that quickly jumped to the top of my favorites list. Poking holes in the warm cake to add caramel allows it to soak into the cake, infusing one perfect fall flavor with another. And just in case that’s not enough, there’s whipped topping to finish it off, and a little more caramel sauce too!

2) Homemade Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream is the dessert equivalent of easing from the hot ice cream weather of summer right into the pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayride festivities of fall.

3) Spice cakes are such a fun holiday flair, but for those days when you crave a little change of fall flavor, try Butter Pecan Pumpkin Cake.

4) If you wrapped all the goodness of fall up in one dessert, you’d get this Chocolate Pumpkin Cake. It’s a super moist chocolate pumpkin cake that’s cooked with a creamy caramel sauce.

5) Pumpkin Spice Eclair Cake takes the classic potluck and family gathering dish and blends it with the classic pumpkin flavor of fall. Eclairs have always been a personal favorite, and this fall version is such a treat!

And a little Caramel too …

6) No Bake Pumpkin Spice Caramel Cheesecake Dessert is a super-easy, extra-light cheesecake that can be made up ahead for a big dinner, like that one we all look forward to on the 3rd Thursday of November!

7) Pumpkin Ice Cream Pie with Caramel and Gingersnaps! When you add Pumpkin Ice Cream, sweet crunchy Gingersnaps and a ribbon of salted caramel, you end up with a dessert that pretty much speaks for itself!

Bushels of Crisp Autumn Apples

8) Apple Crumb Cake is a great option when you don’t have quite as much time because it starts with a cake mix. If you want even more flavor, try a spice cake mix in place of the yellow cake mix. Oh, the possibilities!

9) Sliced apples, sugar, spices and an easy crumb topping come together for this amazing and classic fall dessert, Apple Crumb Pie!

10) You’re literally only 1 minute and 3 ingredients away from these 1 Min Brown Sugar Cinnamon Apples. And here’s a little secret … they’re great with a little yogurt and granola for breakfast or mixed in with your oatmeal

And Apples like Caramel too!

11) Apple Spice Cake with Caramel Glaze is the perfect solution to caramel covered apples without any of the mess, and it’s another one that goes together super quick!

12) Slow cooker dishes may not have a reputation for being notoriously pretty, but this Slow Cooker Caramel Apple Cake is definitely a company-worthy dessert.

13) This Caramel Apple Cider Float brings as much depth of flavor to autumn as the intensity of the leaves that will soon be changing on the trees.

Autumn Fruits beyond Apples and Pumpkins

14) Pear Cake with Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting is a nice little shift from all the decadent apple desserts this time of year. And when you combine pears with cinnamon and buttercream, you just might forget all about apple season! Maybe!

15) Think chocolate covered cranberries in pie form and you have Cranberry Fudge Pie. And the rich color of the cranberries makes a gorgeous presentation for the holidays!

And a few more Favorite Autumn Spices

16) If you love the flavor profile of a Chai Latte, then these Spiced Chai Latte Cookies are sure to be among your favorites before the first bonfire of the season!

17) There’s just something about the deep, molasses and spice flavor of gingerbread paired with the bright citrus of orange that tastes like the holidays. These Gingerbread Bars with Orange Cream Frosting do just that!

What are your favorites?

These are a few of my favorites right now, and I just might be inspired to create a few more with the arrival of this new season! I’m curious, what are your favorite ingredients for autumn baking?
