The first thing I thought of when I saw this was, aren’t hard boiled eggs already easy? Well, yes. It’s fairly simple to put an egg into water and boil it. But if you’re trying to avoid heating up the kitchen, or if you need to do a large number of hard boiled eggs at a time (deviled eggs for a summer potluck, for example! I think this slow cooker trick is pretty nifty. Plus, you don’t have to watch your pot or worry about cooling them down just so. It’s another great example of how the slow cooker lets you toss and go in so many ways. Though of course, with eggs, you’d want to toss gently. ;)
