Slow Cooker Soup Series Coming Soon!
We’re getting into soup season! Soup is one of my favorite kind of meals for fall and winter. Starting in October, I’m going to be sharing lots of slow cooker soup recipes. My goal with this is that each of the recipes can be made entirely in the slow cooker. No pre-cooking meat necessary. Just put all the ingredients in and let it cook!
To be totally upfront and honest, I have not gone looking for this type of recipe. I don’t really know how many are out there, but I’m betting there are enough to make this series work. And for those of us who are lazy types of cooks (raising my hand high for that description!!), a soup that can be assembled quickly in the morning is a wonderful blessing.
This series will run every Friday from October through February. If you haven’t already, subscribe to the email list so you don’t miss any of the recipes.
Speaking of slow cookers, we’ve been working on another week of slow cooker freezer meals for the Weekly Meal Plans. I haven’t tested the new plan yet (hoping to do that this weekend), but we’ve designed it so that you can make 7 meals in just an hour again. The new plan will be available to members in October. The slow cooker freezer plan we did for September was a big hit (and it’s still available to members through September).

These Lamingtons from White on Rice Couple look fantastic. Jim and Peter are heading to Australia soon. Jim had a trip opportunity with work and Peter is tagging along. If I were going, I’d definitely be seeking out some Lamingtons. Have you ever tried them?
Making your own portion control snack bags is pure genius. Crystal and Co. puts them together with kids in mind, but I think I’d like them for myself too.

I love this tutorial for making Deco Mesh Wreaths from Angie at Big Bear’s Wife. I’m not very crafty, but this looks a fun and easy project.
