Did you add any water to the crockpot?
Nicole says
I added chicken broth the first time around and there was WAY TOO MUCH liquid in the end. I am going to make it today with no extra liquid… between the chicken, peppers and onion I think there will be plenty of liquid.

Yummm, I added a dried ancho chile some New Mexico red pepper , cumin and celentro. Next time lime it is. ..

Way too watery. We like our peppers on the crisper sided and not so soggy. Flavor was good though. If I do this again, next time I think I will leave out the can of tomatoes and not put the peppers in on top and only for a couple of hours.

Why are people adding water, broth, or tomatoes? The recipe doesn’t call for it. Anyone make as is? Did it turn out?

I ve done the same because I’m sure my crocpit instructions are that there is always supposed to be liquid to a point?

I make it without a liquid and it’s yummy

Made these tonight exactly as the recipe said. There was a lot of liquid which made everything a bit limp. My daughter didn’t like them. I prefer the way I normally do them.

Made this today. Good flavor. Our only “complaint” was the peppers and onions were too soggy. We like our peppers with a slight crunch to them. I guess I should have thought about that and added them with maybe 1-2 hours left to cook. Will do that next time. There will definitely be a next time.👍
