I am always looking for new recipes to try. I tried this one for a Sunday family dinner using another commenters tip to use a touch of soy sauce and cornstarch instead of the packaged gravy mix. I added the soy sauce to the onions as in was sautating them and then after removing everything from the crockpot added some cornstarch to thicken the gravy. This meat was so tender it was falling apart as I was picking it up. My husband and son said this was the best venison they have ever had!! Best compliment they could have given me, thank you for this recipe. :)
