This has been a full and busy week for me. Last week, I was on the beach for vacation so the last few days have been filled with catching up on laundry and work.
And it’s time to start thinking about back to school. Where did summer go?
We homeschool and we’ll be starting studies again in a few weeks. I’m trying a new curriculum with my youngest daughter. It’s called Trail Guide to Learning and I found out about it from Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers. I subscribed to Kris’s site back in the summer and I love reading it. If you homeschool, go check it out.
Along with the back to school theme, I posted a list of Back to School Dinner Solutions this week. And several bloggers have teamed up on a Back to School Foods board on Pinterest. There are lots of good ideas there.
Don’t forget the Back to School Boost for Moms sale. This is an ebook bundle of 5 books for just $10. We’ve had a lot of people take advantage of this sale so far.
It includes books on managing your time, your cleaning schedule, creating a capsule wardrobe for yourself, cooking quick dinners and cute cupcakes to bake.
Hurry though! It’s only available through August 8.
There were all kinds of sweets shared this week on Ingredient Spotlight: Sweetened Condensed Milk. And there’s still time to link up your recipes too.
Here are a few that caught my eye:
Jim would love these German Chocolate Cake Bars from Mo’ Betta. And since his birthday is tomorrow (and it’s a big one!) I really should make them for him.
Give me a spoon and let me dig into this Banana Cream Pudding from Flour Me with Love!
These Gooey Sandwich Cookie Bars from The Sweets Life sound marvelous.
Did you know you can make Homemade Sweetened Condensed Milk? The Better Baker shows us how.
I want to try these Cran/Ras/Pineapple Squares from Grandma Loy’s Kitchen.
Creme Brulee Pie in a Jar from Mommy Hates Cooking looks amazing.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Was the oreck winner ever announced?
Thanks for the feature! Pretty much everything with sweetened condensed milk is gonna be good!
The Creme Brulee does look awesome!
