Kale Chips with Homemade Seasoned Salt

I’ve heard about kale chips from a number of people.  They talked about how good they are.  How easy to make.  How you just want to keep eating them.

I was skeptical.  Very skeptical.

In fact, I bought kale once and let it go bad in the fridge before I tried making them.  Finally, I decided I would give it a go.

They are good.  I don’t have the urge to keep eating them.  But my youngest son did.  He loved them.  This is my pickiest kid.  The list of things he won’t eat is pretty long.  But he loved kale chips.  He keeps asking me to make them again.

Wow!  I didn’t expect that.  When a kid asks for veggies, that’s a good (and rare) thing.

I used my homemade seasoned salt to flavor them.  You can use salt and pepper or any other seasoning you like.  Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. I made kale chips a couple of weeks ago and really liked them. I used your seasoned salt. It is quick, easy and healthy. It would be a good after school snack.

  2. I never in a million ba-jillion years would have thought of this, but I do believe I’ll try it. Maybe as a side dish with a sandwich-ey meal.

  3. I started making kale chips several months ago and was surprised at how well the kids loved them! I probably make them twice a week now and my 7,11,16 and 18 yr. old eat every last piece. I drizzle with olive oil, salt and a bit of garlic powder. Bake at 400 and we like them with a bit of brown around the edges :) Another favorite is roasted broccoli!

  4. These look delicious! I can’t wait to try them :)
