Menu, Grocery List, Recipes – Year 2 Week 13

Welcome to a new year!

January makes me glad for clean calendars, decluttering, plastic containers and fresh starts.

We’ll be talking about some of those things during the Resolutionize Your Kitchen and Cooking series that starts tomorrow.  This is a 4 part series that I’ll post on Tuesdays in January.  We’ll start with Fast Food from Your Kitchen – 25 Meals in 20 Minutes or Less (plus a list of 12 quick side dishes).

There are also several other bloggers writing their own Resolutionize series.  Check them out!

Now to the menu for this week.   There are 6 dinners and 1 dessert.  Serving suggestions are in bold on the recipes and in curly brackets {} on the grocery list.

Taco Soup will make enough for you to stash some away in the freezer.   I’ve even stirred it all up, but stopped short of heating it so I don’t have to cool it down before putting it in the freezer.  The slow cooker works great for fixing a half batch or less.

1. Bramble Beans, salad
2. Potatoes and Ham ala Julia Child, steamed veggie
3. Sweet and Sour Meatballs over Rice
4. Taco Soup, salad
5. Scrambled Eggs and Peppers, fresh fruit, toast
6. Italian Chicken Melts, Pasta Soup, salad
7. Snickerdoodle Muffins
