I am on my way to the Savvy Blogging Summit in Breckinridge, CO. I’m so excited about this opportunity to learn. I’ve got lots of ideas for this blog, and I know I’ll come home equipped to put some of them into action. I’m especially excited to get to meet other bloggers in person.
This will be my first time in Colorado and I’m really looking forward to seeing the Rocky Mountains. I’ve packed my sweaters. Compared to the 95 degrees with full humidity that we’ve been having, 64 degrees sounds down right chilly!
I’ve got a couple of small things I want to share with you.
- Just in case you want to print the recipes you find here on Eat at Home, here’s a link explaining how to do it – How to Print Recipes
- If you don’t want to print the recipes you find online, but you do want to store and organize them, check out this guest post I wrote on I’m an Organizing Junkie.
- When I cooked bacon for the Homemade Baked Beans in the Slow Cooker, I used Ryan’s oven method. Check it out on his blog, This is Reverb.
- If you aren’t connected with the Eat at Home Facebook page, you’ll want to check it out. I’ve gotten all kinds of good recipe ideas from folks over there.
- A good way to be sure to catch all the recipes and cooking tips I give here is to subscribe. You can follow in a blog reader (RSS) or get the posts in your email inbox.

I can’t wait to meet you and get to know you this weekend. Have a safe flight and journey out here. Remember to drink lots of water so you avoid altitude sickness.
Have a great time in Colorado. We just got back from there-visited my daughter and family. We made your deep dish pizza pie while we were there. It was delicious. I read Pastor Ryan’s cooking bacon blog. I worked in the kitchen while in college. Normally I dished up fruit and jello for lunch, but on Monday I had to get up at 3am and cook bacon for the whole school. They used the same method. It really is a good way to cook a lot of bacon without too much mess.
How awesome! Have fun and be safe.
